Last weekend I was out at a party and some guy apparently was trying really hard to take me home. He kept talking to me and I honestly didn't really get what was going on right away. Then last night my friend(who is gay)'s boyfriend told me he knew that guy and apparently he was really into me. This isn't the first time I've had a gay guy try to pick me up at a party, ask me out, or just hit on me general.

I know people are going to say "Oh you should be flattered." I am. But it's still depressing because I've been rejected by women like a million times. But guys like me. I just don't understand how this sort of stuff works.

I've people tell me oh you're probably trying too hard to look for a girlfriend. Then I've had a few people including some girls tell me I'd probably be really good in a relationship, and I should seek that out. But I don't know how I'd feel about a relationship. I've gone so long without that I wouldn't know what to do in one. And dating just doesn't seem very appealing to me.

As far as sex itself goes people keep telling me to hire an escort. I have no interest in paying for sex. It doesn't seem like a very logical course of action and I keep telling people this. I don't know why everyone suggests it. The problem is I want to have sex a *girlfriend*. Maybe I will if I'm desperate enough.

The argument of logic is understandable; however, different subjects have different levels of understanding for each person, e.g. a person who majors in English would most likely be "better" at english than math, and vice versa. Does this make one smarter than the other? (mediocre argument imo)

In addition, phobias and preferences of taste and smell, visuals, music, etc. are to a certain extent impossible to explain to another person. I can't exactly why I like the color green, for instance; and I believe that you can't "make" someone like/dislike/fear/etc something. Does that make people's opinions towards things illogical? (if my previous statement is correct)

In addition, the ability to learn or understand new things as a measurement of intelligence: different types of learning styles exist

Visual learners
Auditory learners
Reading- or writing-preference learners
Kinesthetic learners

where, if accepted, shows that each person learns differently. Is someone who struggles in-class about abstract concepts but picks up something interactive (i.e. sports, games, an instrument) less smart than someone who is the opposite?

I am not trying to discredit your opinions because on one hand I agree with these characterizations of intelligence. However I don't think these are enough to differentiate "who is smart and who is not smart."

I also admit that I haven't watched that interview of Neil Tyson yet. If my questions are answered already then I apologize

Is it a good grasp of math? Science? English?
To answer questions with a high success rate at a level playing field?
To have a breakthrough in something?
To grasp concepts quickly?
To be able to make speeches?
To be able to persuade?
To have "good opinions," whatever they may be?
To respect others' opinions?
To be mentally alert?
To ask the right questions?

How can you give the opinion that one person is "smarter" than another person?

So today at school I was just minding my own business during passing period and this asian kid with glasses comes up to me. I had no idea who he was beforehand and he was like sweating profusely. I saw the sweat shining on his forehead and when he shook my hand it was really sticky. Anyway he introduced himself as a "big fan" (exact words) and then started talking really loudly about my tf2 topics. It wasn't really talking as much as yelling. So needless to say I had to get on out of there really fast but he literally grabbed my shoulder and I couldn't move. Well now this was causing a scene so everyone was looking at us. Everyone was being silent because this kid was literally knocking people off their feet in his excitement about me. Everyone started getting the hell out of there when he talked about me jacking off before S12 LAN.

Luckily I was saved by the bell and the teachers came to break us up. But I got in trouble because asianriceguy worked himself up so hard he fainted and the teachers thought I knocked him unconscious or something.

Now very few girls talk to whenever I actively try to engage them in conversation. Thanks asianriceguy.
