AllealRegardless, this meta you're predicting doesn't exist yet. Banning a weapon on hypothetical grounds isn't a good practice to have. You've got your prediction, now let's give it a chance and see what players do with it.

It probably would have made much more sense to just join a team as a "backup".
AloSecanother post successfully derailed into a fight between cevo and esea
good work team
we fell right into the hands of EG
FogsynchroNot the point he's makingDrPloxoSo you're saying unpaid, volunteer CEVO members are able to impact CEVO faster than paid ESEA employees are able to impact ESEA..?FogWhat do you think Killing and tri are for ESEA?Employees
Based on his posts, it looks like the point he's making is that CEVO isn't actually doing anything, the community is. Regardless of whether someone who works for CEVO is actively doing anything or not (hint: people are), CEVO is making changes to the league that people want at an impressive pace.
So, essentially, by calling out the fact that community members are doing the work on behalf of CEVO, he's in effect saying that people in the community are actually able to contribute to and influence CEVO's development - this is good, not bad.

Who are the other 4 that tried to ban gunboats?
We are the 4%, stay strong.
Can someone explain what makes the Diamondback worth banning? Seems like it just increases the ability for spy play.
hookyIf I'm not mistaken, registration has officially closed.
True, but in case people are panicking, this just means new teams can't sign up - if you have a "not ready" team, you can still get 6 paid up!
Also, the match info along the top of the site is actually pretty slick, I'm a fan.
blendtecDo you guys really want to deal with the battalions backup on KOTH? I know that most of you don't remember why it was banned, but it was op as shit and basically forced on viaduct if you wanted to win. Plus it got buffed since then.
There are plenty of straight upgrades that people are "forced" to run or put themselves at a disadvantage, I don't see what the issue with that is. If it's an item that has no counter play, that's one thing, but if it just means the best way to counter it is to use it yourself, I don't think that's a huge issue.
Teams do have until Wednesday to be paid up, just make sure you have 6 players with SteamIDs on your roster by tonight everyone.
If people need a hand getting that last 6th player paid up, I'd also be willing to help out; I just can't pay for entire teams :>
brownymasterwords?
I think you're have trouble reading what I'm typing.
I'm not saying they're going to ban people who go to these websites; I'm also not saying they're only going to go after people who have certain websites in their history.
What I'm saying is it's a research tool; it provides evidence as to what may or may not be a cheat. I've never once said it's a way for them to ban people, it's a way for them to discover cheats that might not be as easily found.
jewbie and the noses
brownymasterI just don't see it being very useful or necessary information for them to have.
You could match the list of people who visited X cheat website with the list of people who run Y programs alongside their games. If the only people who run a program called TotallyNotACheat.exe are also all on a list of people who visited TotallyACheat.com, then that's pretty convincing evidence that TotallyNotACheat.exe is, in fact, a cheat.
brownymasterThat's a horrible way to do AC. Just link to an image on a hack site and it's on your DNS.
