I wouldn't call it dumb luck. This was probably portugal's best game strategically so far even if the first half was boring and it wasn't nearly as exciting as the previous one. They countered croatia really well and choked them hard for 2 hours, while still pressuring them but without overextending (for the most part). Some mistake was bound to happen and so it did.
