I think this is an interesting question: what order should you target classes/which is best to kill. Obviously medic is most important, but what about others?
Assuming competitive setting...

this might be a better question for tf2maps.net forum.
The site has been broken for the last three days, it is now fixed. Sorry about that, my database now has 250k kills listed in it, which is more than I expected, but I upped my capacity.
Also because its been broken, I'm extending the end date by two days, the new end date is 1/17/2023 11:59 EST
edit: also, all demos from during when the site was down are still counted.
the split of beginner pugs is a real problem for 6s rn. I'm sure Seinfeld is not the only one who wants beginner/midlevel/shit pugs. shitting on shit pugs for being shit is not the way to help the scene grow lol
the ping thing came up a while ago, apparently there is a charitable explanation. I do really find it annoying tho

ArieThere's a DDoS mitigation strategy (anycast network with globally cached A2S_PLAYER/A2S_INFO responses) that has these unrealistically low pings as a side effect. Looking at a random UGC IP from the US that pinged really low for me, that seems to be the reason.
it is officially halfway through the tournament. looks like davidb has a solid lead through grinding and also very consistent KPR. habib and kobe battling for 2nd place, and its very unclear who will win. There are definitely some contenders for a late comeback up to 3rd place if they decide to start grinding....

excited to see how other rosters play out
The rankings are now split between classes. In order to not split the pot 3 ways, there is a scoring system to find the 3 overall winners.
You get 3 points for being in first place, 2 for being second or third, and 1 point for being in fourth, fifth, or sixth place.
There are also two metrics equally weighted: total kills, and average kills in a round. You have to grind, but you also have to do consistently well to win.
For example right now, DavidB has most overall kills on scout (+3), most overall kills on demo (+3), third most kills on soldier (+2), second highest kills per round on soldier (+2), highest kills per round on scout (+3), and fifth most kills per round on demo (+1), therefore he has 14 points.
New rules:
check out the updated website (will polish when I get more time). The scoring system is probably not perfect, but its just an experiment after all...
good luck!
I'm open to ideas to change structure. Definitely going to switch it to average kills per round/dpm, that would be better metric. I can also limit it to just one of the four servers, but I don't want to split the playerbase too much.
it will def ruin/change dm to some extent, but it's in off season (next rgl season starts Jan 29th) so during the season it will go back to normal.
Tbh I don't think (as long as the metric is avg score not kda) it will change playstyle too much, people enjoy fighting to be #1 on the scoreboard already.
PeteHilarious, this will be fun to keep track of
Might want to put some sort of restriction on number of players or something like that to prevent people from farming off of an empty server tho
True, I will add that later today
I have made a website that keeps track of all games played on the spaceship dm servers, and counts how many kills people get.
Here is the link mge.tf/leaderboard
Just because its fun I guess. I don't know how long I will keep it up, but at least for a while.
Also just because its fun, I'm running a tournament for the month of Jaunary, these are the rules:
Tournament Rules
1. Any game finished during the window 12/31/2022 11:59pm EST -> 1/31/2023 11:59 pm EST will count toward the tournament.
2. To be a finalist, you must be in the top 20 of total kills. This is so that to win, you must grind a decent amt.
3. The winners are the three finalists with the highest K/D.
4. 1st place $100, 2nd place $75, 3rd place $25. (paypal/venmo from me)
As of posting this, for the ~15 days the site has been running, Donovin would win because he has the highest K/D of the finalists. But Alfa/Soapy could probably surpass him if they got more kills. But there's no prize for December, tournament starts January!
not saying this is a good idea but if it was
