doesnt matter when i can't see what's in front of me. sounds more like a crutch for bad game awareness anyway.

fun game, just too bad they went the shitty third person route. love not being able to see what's in front of me!

#25 wonderland bball sequel in TF2 General Discussion

the only time i can stand to play bball now is when it's combined with ammomod. 800 health, infinite rockets. normal bball is far too shitty because everybody dies too quickly. you also have the faggots using the shotgun :/

sure, you always got scored on because it's easy to spam jump with 800 health but you got some sick juggles in it. so if everybody in the server can hit airshots consistently, it's a fun time.

edit: thinking back, I don't think a single good player we asked to come play disliked it. it was typically people who weren't very good at landing airshots that wouldn't like it.

#55 ultimate question in Off Topic

large animal fights have been set up since the 1800s, the bear almost always win. large cats can't do anything to it because of its thick hide, not to mention one swipe from the bear is likely a KO to their weak skulls. the gorilla is 300-700 less pounds than the bear. this question typically comes in the form of gorilla vs grizzly, not polar though. my info might not be accurate in this case.

edit: not to mention gorillas aren't fighters. they rely on looking big to scare away predators. bears are known to fight and kill much much more.

Yawnypolar bears are more of a natural predator than the gorilla and would have better instincts so in a fight the average polar bear would be "smarter"

^ is what I was going for, just worded it terribly.

#10 igmdb.org fragmovie/demorender site in TF2 General Discussion

awesome idea. would be great if the videos of professional players could be highlighted or put into their own section. i'd like be able to identify and watch a highly leveled player play whatever game they play without having to do my own research on the games scene.

#15 Lower sticky clip size?? in Q/A Help

imo you should make a plugin that keeps track of each stickies position and if position == oldposition, detonate it. that would get rid of sticky traps while allowing demo to det them in the air. i would post my version of that plugin but after I formatted I think I lost all of my sourcemod stuff :(

edit: a quick google brought this up https://forums.alliedmods.net/showthread.php?p=1519663

his plugin isn't exactly what you want, though. you'll have to change it up a bit.

#35 Funding competitive prizepools through items in TF2 General Discussion
EucalyptizMaybe if Valve added this type of Hat/Misc item into the game, it would be untradable/giftable and would be on sale by the Mann Co Store, TF.tv, and possibly ETF2L. Half the proceeds will go towards valve while the other half goes to support the tf2 comp. community with events and such. Both sides will win, valve makes money and the comp. community gets popular within the pub community and will be able to get money to support events.

Asking for half is a bit much. 10-15%, maaybe 25. Don't underestimate how much money that would be, especially when compared to whatever couple thousand ESEA throws out each season.

#30 Funding competitive prizepools through items in TF2 General Discussion
synchrodownpourturtsmcgurtsI forget the name of the patch, but it was one of the first new item patches. They said that the people who made the items earned ~$45,000 each (who knows how much they've made now). if that was me the last thing I would be thinking about is donating anything to the competitive scene.im fairly certain it was map makers that made that much, but I could be wrong.
some silly hat might bring in the dosh
The polycount item creators made bank.

yes yes, it was the poly creators! and that shit was only a week or two after release, i'd really like to know how much they've made total.

Kanecobtw, both faceit items were submitted today and they are already on the main page of the csgo workshop with over 100 ratings

for some reason i want to say that CSGO's comp scene is not only larger than TF2's, but is more accepted by the general playerbase. if I were them i'd reach out to the big name csgo sponsors (whoever they are) to spread the word on the item. larger prizepot = larger playbase = win for sponsors. sadly this isn't feasible for tf2 anymore :(
