you guys still have time to change your spy_uncloak sound to the obnoxious "happy birthday" sound, and change spy_cloak to a really long sentence from half life (so you can track the spy as he's cloaked via the voices). you can also lower the volume of your weapons, but not others. might as well disable ambience in the manifest-ish file. Forgot what it's called, but it has a huge table of values one of which includes Ambience.

Edit: clearly i have tested this and used it many many times, and have plans to re-do it if I ever decide to play the game.

there actually is a bunny hopping plugin on allied modders with adjustable difficulty, which can make it fairly hard. it requires you to turn your mouse to the left/right within X degrees by X frames, otherwise it doesn't work. Probably the closest you're going to get. The largest problem for me is the delay due to my ping and it being server side. :(

because the cons so obviously outweigh the pros that it isn't worth it.

the game resets your speed as soon as you touch the ground, so you're really limited at how far you can go. edit: (referring to #4's videos)

edit: and/or you're likely missing the second plugin file that manages the tournament mode settings. i don't know the name of the plugin, but it's on Lange's git.

every server with SOAP should produce that error when on a map not in the soap spawn config, yeah. shouldn't be the problem afaik.

0 0 0 gets defaulted to when TeleportEntity is given invalid parameters. it's odd that it doesn't seem to happen on the normal map, though.

you say you've only seen it happen on the beta maps, could be possible that there's a faulty spawn point carried over from a different map? if you spawn outside of a arena, i'm sure it'd appear as black. this could produce the effect that the spawn happens randomly because MGE cycles through a list of spawn points, so if there's one or two faulty ones, they'd eventually come up.

if I had to guess i'd say because the maps are so similar (? haven't played the beta) Lange or whoever could have just copied over the old spawn config, unknowing that the map creator may have moved some arenas around.

no idea if any of this is correct, purely speculation after reading the thread.

mge-style map would be pretty coo with DM. so it's just like MGE now, except with a DM arena inlucded.
