#55 Why it’s time to say goodbye to TF2Center in TF2 General Discussion
REM_TF2I took the liberty of compiling a list of people who have offered their services in this thread and what they have offered.

vibhavp - Coding
R.E.M. - Forum + site Administration, PR & QA/bug testing.
VanguardDLK - Writing
Omni - Funding + domain usage
DukeDaniel - Graphic design/photoshop
nonagono - Coding
Schalla - Coding
Marty - PR

Please let me know if you wanna be added to this list by posting here or adding me on steam. I would start a project post but it might be a bit premature.

If anyone here wants to speak with me about starting this thing then please add me :)

omnivibhavpAnybody wants to help write a better replacement? Add me, maybe we can flesh out something

PS: Matchmaking's going to come anyway, but it should be a fun experience nevertheless!

If this is a genuine thing, I'd get involved. Not that I can code or do much, but I can fund servers and I also do own the domain for league.tf and that's a pretty nice domain to hold on to.

I'm pretty serious. It shouldn't be that hard to get a working prototype in a week or two, which can possibly sustain us till MM arrives.

REM_TF2Double post but

I fucking called it. Masternoob will never change.

EDIT: I think we should make a separate thread like on ETF2L, this is starting to detract from DeutschLAN itself and I don't want that.

Wait, so Marty got kicked from the admin team??

#54 REALTALK.TF in TF2 General Discussion

This post servers no purpose than creating unnecessary drama/friction/distrust in the community. I fail to see how's that "realtalk" in any way.

#220 Razer Arena adds TF2 in TF2 General Discussion
CHERRYHey
About servers for Asia. Most of the Asian players are from Korea, China, Malaysia and Singapore. They usually play in Hong Kong or Singapore as mainland Chinese players only get good routing to the first. There are some Japanese/half Japanese teams but I think it'll be better to have them play on other servers than everybody else on theirs. However I understand that this server pool is shared among few different games and TF2 may not necessarily be a top priority so I understand if Japan is desirable for those reasons or just not convenient.

Hey, there's India too! We aren't that big but we've had many players as UGC Asia/Asiafortress champions >:-(

#2 i5 or i7 for TF2 specifically? in Hardware

git gud git more CPU

But yeah, Source is a pretty CPU-intensive engine, so an i7 would always be better

kKaltUuSnazDont take this the wrong way. But the tf2 community seems complacent. Everyone wants support from other organizations, then when we get it every one gets hyped and says "we esports boys". Then no one actually joins.

ie mlg and now this. Plus cevo & that other league that popped up at the same time and flopped harder than cevo.

TF2Games? IGL?

lol TF2Games was a scam to begin with

I made a post of r/truetf2 about it, hopefully it should help.

Also, wouldn't it be cool if there was a small ticker like thing on TFTV's frontpage showing all open events/tourneys? Even r/tf2 has something similar:

#197 Gun Mettle Bugs in TF2 General Discussion

Not sure if it qualifies as a bug, but the new weapon change mechanic needs to be reworked as far as ubers are concerned:

AFlyingNunAs a pure onlooker I'm just curious: where exactly does the negative rep with TF2C admins come from? Aside from the example given here of course. I just can't imagine why an admin would go out of their way to spitefully get one person barred from an event.

There have been multiple incidents about TF2Center admins banning folks left and right for stupid reason (the whole niggatron fiasco comes to mind).

Will the TFTV casts still keep the TF2Center logo on? They do promote our streams, so there's that.

REALTALK: nerdrage, reason and TLR might not get thier full lineups to LAN

Sounds scary, really going to be bad if these three wouldn't be able to go.
