#28 Guide: Get the Right Mouse and Use it Right in TF2 General Discussion

honestly boys I would just ignore minimum DPI/minimum angle/pixel skipping completely.

stabby is certainly making it into a much larger issue than it is.

if you use 400dpi with a high enough sens to make this an issue, you're not going to be able to physically control the mouse to the degree of accuracy where it matters. and it won't be a noticeable difference in smoothness either.

its just so irrelevant for 99.9% of gamers (possibly with the exception of surgeon aimers trying to play CS, but they're doing it wrong in the first place). how the sensor performs/feels at that DPI is way more important than 'avoiding pixel skipping'

source: 8 sens 400 dpi

its like coming in here and being like everyone has to use at least 3840x2160 resolution because you have 4 times more pixels on the screen for maximum precision!

#19 Any tips for buying gaming headset with mic? in Hardware

http://www.head-fi.org/t/534479/mad-lust-envys-headphone-gaming-guide-update-7-9-2014-ultrasone-hfi-15g-added

tl;dr
ad700x + mic
pc350 for strictly headsets

if you REALLY care about mic quality, and want to record your next album from your headset, just get an external mic. l
like what is this for, why would you prioritize the mic lol

#10 Powerline networking in Hardware

adds 5-10ms ping for me, occasionally disconnects (not often) for like 10 seconds (my house is huge btw, like out of range of wireless N signal)
anyway the powerband is better than wireless, worse than a long ethernet cable.
imo its playable (wireless isn't)

#4 Searching for BBall Mod Download in Customization

you just need sourcemod.

wozers respawn plugin is optional, if you use it these are the commands.
//RESPAWN NA style
sm_respawn_time_enabled 1
sm_respawn_time_red 2
sm_respawn_time_blue 2

otherwise you can get fast respawn with
sm_cvar spec_freeze_time -2

then you need a whitelist (usually stock weps+orignal only), classlimit 2 soldiers, map ctf_ballin_sky.
mp_match_end_at_timelimit 1

thats about it.

#16 why isnt this a thing? in TF2 General Discussion

The first time someone asked me to sign something I was flattered, but it got annoying after awhile.
Signing stuff is kind of annoying to me personally because:
-the volume, just takes a really long time, etc
-I don't actually like talking to people. social anxiety, annoying people etc. I usually alias. I would rather not accept random friend reqs (trade links kinda help with this now) because sometimes they spam me to the point where I just wanna play offline, phishers, stalkers, ddosers who add to take your ip from steam calls etc.
-people who just get signatures to sell the stuff (happened to me several times)

Anyways one day some guy wanted me to sign 9 gunboats (clearly so he could sell them) and I raged.
I was going to put something like 'absolutely no weapon signing' like TLR but I decided to just charge 1 key per instead and if they don't want me to sign it fine that works too.

It went quite smoothly, I signed a lot of stuff (more people asked me than before), made a cycle of using keys to level up my steam account > get more friend slots > accept more reqs/sign stuff/acquire keys and repeat and some keys leftover. After awhile I just stopped though, felt kinda greedy. Went back to signing stuff for free (while secretly hating it). but yea it wasn't the worst idea ever so take that for what its worth.

#11 large hard mousepad in Hardware
Dave_If you can still find one, the qpad heaton would be good. Problem with hard mats is that like everything else, they wear down.

Or if you're willing to spend big bucks ($80+), you can get one of the custom milled glass pads if your mouse works on it. If you're not familiar with them, think of the icemat, but better. Or you could just go to a glass shop and have them cut and apply adhesive to one for you--that way you get whatever size you want. I do remember there being a korean company that made those REALLY nice glass mats though.

Frosted glass cutting boards work too: http://www.vanceind.com/15x12clearelitetemperedglasscuttingboard-1.aspx

maybe i'll look harder and try to find a qpad heaton since it seems like its still the only one thats really as big as I want.
kind of apprehensive about glass pads, most of the mice I have don't work properly on my icemat, and I doubt the fk1 would because of its super low lod.

Herr_PAnyone used this with a qpad 5k? Been using a Steelseries 9HD for the past couple of years but it's always been a bit too small.

Also, anyone know how to get one shipped to sweden? :D

I really doubt anyone here used it with a qpad 5k but its a normal mousepad it should be fine~
international shipping:

stabbyI highly recommend the Func Surface 10302L.

good oldschool mousepad but its only like 14x11 yo

Evil_MrMuffinzFor desk/mousepads ranging from 12x10inches to 56x23
http://www.corepad.com/index.php?pagina=products
there is also a corepad 5xl somewhere on the internet if you think the 4xl is small, i have the 3xl and it works like a charm

the biggest hard pad I could find was keira L at 16.7x11.2.
http://www.corepad.com/index.php?pagina=artikel&id=158
the 4xl etc are soft/cloth pads.

#4 large hard mousepad in Hardware
Devonartisan shiden kai mid maybe

yea I don't think its really what I want. the largest size in artisan pads are still borderline too small and mid isn't really the same as a hard pad. and kind of expensive if I don't end up liking it so I don't wanna try it. ty tho ;o

ComangliaXtrac Hammer

http://www.xtracgear.com/mouse-pads/hard-surface-mouse-pads/hammer/

It's 11 x 17, but it's the largest Hard Pad I could find still in production. I bought it and have been using it for about 3 days now. It's fucking awesome.

ill think about that one^^ wish it was taller (and solid color!)
