my confusion does seem to be with the wording/terms

jump+crouch is not the order you should do things in to be efficient.
crouch+jump 'crouchjump' = normal jump

I do think you should call it demoman ctap, or just ctap as it has the same tapping and release of crouch which I assume is to mash the hitbox into the ground, so fundamentally its the same technique.

and on that note do you have distances compared to a regular sticky jump?
the one in the video can be done with a regular jump np

I don't know what you're on about with jump+crouch like a soldier, thats just bad technique for both classes (unless you want a shorter controlled jump etc). also dunno how crouchjump is like ctap, its literally a normal jump the way you're supposed to do it. you press crouch first for safety. its textbook

*typically* (bad rule of thumb etc) if theres a gpu bottleneck then lower resolution will give more frames, if cpu bottleneck then it won't do shit..
so for you it doesn't hit gpu bottleneck (unless you crank up the graphics), hence lower res does nothink.
low res and reduced fov/aspect ratio can still help others

-threads can be different than the number of cores. i7's have 4 cores but 8 threads. i5's have 4 threads.
I don't think csgo can use more than 3 threads, but setting 4 or 8 shouldn't hurt.

I was actually looking into this yesterday. people have been saying raw input has issues (particularly in csgo but also other source games). some say its fine.

from what I saw the scarce evidence says raw input is implemented okay.
on the other side many people say raw input 1 feels odd and disconnected in source games

all I know is m_rawinput 1, 0, and RInput certainly feel different.
as for which one is better, who knows? its somewhat preference.
I would assume RInput is the best as there is no buffering.

The problem with RInput is injecting it. its a pain to do it everytime you start the game, makes people uncomfortable, might be banned at lan. This program helps somewhat I guess (already had a batch file for this so its not that special)

its kind of like back in the day where you could use CPL mousefix or you could use anir's fix which was slightly better but also invasive and banned at many lans.

you might as well put it in but let people make their own choice I guess
(personally I use accel driver so I can't use raw input anyways..)

my other name, sile, is a villian in an obscure science fiction book who I liked cause he wears purple, has a psycho girlfriend and has a sick ship and big aspirations. but its mostly just how the name sounds (girl or guy/ambiguous, slightly evil). I also really like names starting with s (or cy) and short names. And I wanted a name that could plausibly be a real name and can be my own in the sense that it doesnt reference anything really (or in this case a reference no one would get)
