N3voChecking areas is one of the most important skill, still 90% of players fail to check spots that've been here forever. Atleast it was a map where you would get punished hard for being careless while repushing last.
theres a difference between this kind of backcap
and this one
I think it goes without saying that literally no HUDs are ready for this update.
It's going to take me a little bit. Play with the stock HUD tonight, boys.
Fixed the Engineer's missing pelvis hitbox
they care
medic changes
or do they
Did it actually say neato? I'm on vacation so I don't exactly have TF2 open
Look man, I understand the feeling of being burnt out on TF2. We've lost so many important community members (rip lange) because of the lack of support we've received these nine years. But that being said, this is the best chance competitive TF2 has ever had. The fucking base game is being transformed to a casual mode with a competitive mindset and structure. The game is being vastly rebalanced. Competitive Matchmaking is in the game and it's fucking official for EVERYONE, not just the insiders that knew how to get a pass.
This is a big deal, and while I understand you might be a little let down from what you see so far, wouldn't it be best to at least wait for the fucking patch notes before complaining?
HAWTHORNEPyro needs some reworking, airblast is insane, you can control anyones movement and you get crits on demand with the unlocks (unlocks that won't be banned).
How is not obvious it needs a rework.
I think we should wait for the update's weapon rebalances before we start crying about rebalances.
I just realized how many huge updates are happening today...
TF2's MYM update, Rust is launching its XP update (biggest update ever), Evolve is going F2P today, and fuck I just got a notification that Unturned pushed an update.
Plus if you want to factor in Factorio's 0.13 update this week... It's a good time to be alive.
PhiThe best part about it going official is that it's included within any content updates, and you don't have to manually download it separately from the rest of your tf2 files. The map will be constantly updated on everybody's end!
To be fair, the Map Workshop already did allow this. It's just a shame no leagues used it.
Congrats on going official though! I remember casting Sunshine when it was mostly dev textures and props didn't even have collision.
Well I literally guarantee they'll break when the update hits but they aren't disallowed in competitive, they'll just need to be updated.
cooleverestHopefully its UGC swiftwater and not the original.
The original was updated with all the UGC changes, minus the UGC branding, and then uploaded to the Workshop some time ago. That's probably the version that'll be used.
Just so you guys know I do have decent internet access so I should be able to update yayahud when MYM drops tomorrow. I won't really be able to test it though so please let me know if anything goes wrong.
avaiihnDamn, I liked the look of bad graphics TF2, though I guess I'm probably in the minority.
It's a sacrifice for the greater good. I just hope they add some much-requested features to the advanced options menu, like transparent viewmodels. I'm fairly certain r_drawviewmodels is already in the Advanced Options menu, too, so that's good.
avaiihnAlso, the Casual MM is BIG. I've had several friends quit tf2 early on bc they get wrecked by pub stompers all day and they get frustrated by it. Matching newbies with other newbies will make the beginning experience much less frustrating
Hate on it if you will, this is one of the best features of Overwatch. Even the casual quickplay mode still ranks players based on skill and incites some form of a competitive environment, even if it isn't taken as seriously as the actual competitive mode (although of course right now competitive is a joke).
This touches upon something I posted a little while ago regarding Overwatch:
yttriumI don't care if I'm downfragged. You guys really need to man up if you're so scared about someone in your own community putting his heart into something you personally don't like. It doesn't fucking matter if you like it or not, experimentation and competition is what makes this community evolve. Lessons learned from other games can always be applied here.
Valve has been watching and is going to innovate. Good on them.
pendaare there non-ironic heavy mains?
there are like five but they have godly tracking and it's actually scary
all the others are ironic
Almie(plus who knows, maybe the rebalances in this update will make pyro and heavy have their place in competitive too, you never know)
memes aside i would be thoroughly surprised if pyro and heavy didn't receive some major changes with this update. let's just hope they're actually improvements.
