A 2600k at 4.4 should still provide good fps, especially at 1024x768!
When you say dips, can you elaborate? Even if you have capped fps it doesn't ALWAYS stay right at 144 even if your computer is from NASA. Rather, I'll rephrase - DO you have fps capped?
What values do you get in a midfight with fps_max 0 enabled?

Yuki played on the gossip girl lineup in the razer spring series 2 weeks ago (where they came second), so he has a bit of experience with the squad (though that was along with termo). It's an improvement to the team (don't get me wrong though sam is an absolute beast), however it likely won't be enough to knock Jasmine off their expected number one spot for the summer cup.
The cup is nearly over though, and it'll be interesting to see whether yuki stays on gossip girl or goes elsewhere for the next season of OWL.
I signed up as backup as a favour to Jersh being a m8. Filling in for the remainder of this cup as core is also a favour.
Afterwards, I plan on either going to backup or stop playing for a bit.
I don't plan on playing core after this anytime soon.

@kirby I'm using one of these - the Leopold FC750R. It feels nice with the added bonus of the key labels on the front side of the key (not top), so there is definitely no chance of them fading from use.
It's tenkeyless, so dunno if that's what you want. Probably more on the expensive side, but I'm happy with the purchase.
It's now fixed.
I am now running steam as administrator, as well as gameoverlayui.exe. I also ran the "compatibility troubleshooter" for gameoverlayui.exe (right click -> properties -> compatibility -> run compatibility troubleshooter) but I did not TEST gameoverlayui.exe afterwards - I simply launched steam.
This isn't specifically TF2 related (it's any game) so wasn't sure where to put it.
Since yesterday, my steam overlay has not been working. I have tried different binds and nothing has worked. So I decided to check the processes in task manager, and found out that it hasn't actually been launching when I've launched a game. I tried to launch it manually in the steam folder and got these lines

I tried turning Windows Firewall off and it didn't do anything. I do not use any other antivirus or firewall software.
EDIT: also tried with AND without Steam Beta.
Anyone have any ideas?
Is the whole "can't do jump_beef" just some joke about his jumps, or has he actually not completed it?
