in anticipation of ESEA lan
the viewers want to view, nothing to view right now except ESA cups
and then maybe some during the offseason??

I feel this would be good for everyone, players get more playtime, teams get more practice, casters get more experience, and us players get something to watch.
maybe do it like the esa cups make them so anyone can enter and give teams the opportunity to play against the highest level players
the ultiduo tourney was also really cool, loads of fun to watch
Organise your own cups on binarybeast, ask some casters, if you want stuff to view there's always the ability to do it yourself!
Last season tftv streamed some old matches from the regular season, most of them the really good ones iirc.
That's something I guess.
iM vs HRG Showmatch coming close to i49 and the i46 doco maybe?
Never seen iM play, would love to see it happening.

A showmatch would be nice, but at the same time I don't know if it'll happen. Plainly for the reason that iM may just want to keep everything on a low-down before i49. No one really knows a lot about them and I'm guessing they'd want to keep it that way. Also, ping issues are a bitch, (unless you're Yuki).
Players such as tri and Plat have been streaming scrims. I'm sure at some point there will be some scrims streamed from a spectator POV (I can do this) -- but with quality content available straight from the sources, I'm not sure if it's totally needed.
I'm thinking about sponsoring a 6v6 newbie only tournament to promote comp.tf, if we could get it casted and decently promoted I figure it could be entertaining for everyone?

Blackout Gaming did something like this a while back, you could talk to Russian Guyovich. (It was casted.)

Player streams are great, but tftv showmatches get over a thousand viewers for a reason.
I'd like to see coverage of Open and IM playoffs like last season

Ping issues are a bitch, but I thought that Australia to USA will be less of a bitch rather than Europe to USA / Europe to Australia.

Australia to US West, maybe. Definitely not to US East.
Given the considerable issues these always create is it worth it now?
Showmatches aren't really needed since the almost 90% confirmation from Tapley (Multiplays TF2 Lead Tournament Co-ordinator) that all of the 'higher' teams will be placed in one group for the initial stages of the i49 tournament.
That will give us around 5/6 'showmatches' of sort before the competition gets down to business.

200 viewers as opposed to 1000? It's clear what people prefer. Also, intercontinental matches are dumb and meaningless cause of ping, but people do tune in so they may be worth doing.
