I thought Ipz's casting in general was pretty good. He was well informed about the teams that were playing and what was going on during the game. Rather than doing what most EU casters do and just narrate what we're watching, and usually pretty badly, he was analysing plays.

It was unfortunate that Ipz was brought in to cast a game that where he obviously had some bad blood with one of the teams. The bias against Wonka's Factory and the seemingly fanboy moments towards Epsi ended up in the cast becoming unprofessional.

Only thing that was really painful at all was the interview because he kept cutting people off/not letting them answer (Kaidus seemed noticeably irked). I don't care about the profanity one bit, that shouldn't be an issue.

I just had no idea what was going on. I assumed ipz was joking when he said I played like shit cause we are chums but the general atmosphere was awkward so I was a bit confused, didn't really realise till I read this thread that that sort of thing was going on all cast.

Haven't listened to the cast but I can kind of guess how it went. A lot of casters simply try too hard to be funny and attempt to use shit talking players / teams as a comedy weapon to get a few cheap laughs. Ipz for a while now has been jumping on the 'shit-talking bandwagon' and I guess he's thrown it into his casting? It's unoriginal, not funny, and makes him look like a douche. If that's the rep he's going for then he's doing a grand job!

Some people can pull it off when they use it in small doses, but other people just look like a prick doing it.

I would listen to ipz cast more games, it was fucking hilarious. And his analysis of some of the plays made is something you don't hear very often. Nobody ever gets upset at those Vanillatf2 stats articles that say x player under performed, so idk why people are upset at ipz. You get a guy to cast the undeniable best team in the world vs. his old team and are surprised at what happened?
