Ok, let's look at the counters to quick fix that aren't unlocks:
1) Heavy
2) Engineer
Basically the solution to quick fix is to slow the game down which is what we try to avoid doing as much as possible. Like if you've ever actually played with the quick fix or even just watched a few matches where it was being used prominently it's really easy to see how bad it is for the game. You're acting like I have no experience at all with the quick fix in 6v6. I do, it was awful, and I never want to experience it again.
Edit: Thanks John.

sydney sleeper, crit a cola, jarate, beggar's bazooka, those are just the obvious examples. no one's even really delved into the items that are unbanned. what happened to sticky traps?
i'll just end this here though because i've talked myself to death over this topic
JohnMilterWhy the fuck are you taking part in this conversation bastid, No one wants the fucking short circuit quickfix hu-long heater meta game you seem to envision as the grand future. Further more is competitive tf2 even a thing you do? As far as I can tell can tell your sole existence is to post in threads about epic meta game ideas. Based on that everyone can conclude the only thing worse then your fucking posts is your actual skill. If any one else wants to cry about a fucking stale meta game get the fuck out of ugc steel before you start.

I suspect why most who are against the QF don't like it because it takes a different tempo to work with and against, it's a much more fluid medigun which allows a team to take and hold positions without necessarily popping a charge in order to do so. Whereas regular uber is more about standing up and getting ready for a round in Heavyweight boxing, ring the bell and it's on.

Its pretty obvious you haven't played against the quick-fix much.
Have you ever det a 5 sticky trap on a soldier only to have him back up at full health in a second? Oh and there's no knock back either so he jumps into your team/the point. That's what the quick fix is, a more effective ubercharge that charges faster than the original, and always builds at max rate.

frankly i'm fucking sick of every discussion about gameplay getting shut down by circlejerkers, i honestly prefer reddit over tf2tv for this kind of thing nowadays. i can't talk about an aspect of the game i'm interested in (and countless others are too) without someone trying to be funny and doing the ugc profile shtick and then going on to make worthless fragbait posts. it's fucking tiring, imagine new players who come to tf2tv for the first time and all they see are shit irrelevant threads. it's a great way to kill a competitive scene for sure

bastid i think his arguement is that since u dont have the mental capacity to play the game at anythign above whatever u play at u dont understand the mechanics of how the game works therefore u shouldnt get to offer input as to what u think should and shouldnt be the game
im maybe paraphrasing
the whole crying out the door exit where u complaing about "circlejerks" kinda proves him right

also not gonna lie saying u prefer reddit to tftv for comp based discussion is like saying u like fingerpainting over photography because u cant handle the fact that people who are better photographers than u call u out on ur bullshit

Knowing game mechanics doesn't not make you an expert balance authority, yet you really come off as if you know that X always counters Y.

Get good at TF2 in 100 hours using this one weird trick discovered by a UGC Steel player. Invite players hate him!!!

To put the thread back on track... A couple of questions.
What three currently disallowed unlocks, in your opinions, would have the biggest impact if added to the whitelist?
And conversely, which three currently allowed unlocks would have the biggest impact if disallowed?

Although the loose cannon is annoying, it's not particularly a good weapon.

I'm probably one of the most active people on /r/truetf2 because there isn't usually a lot of 'discussion' here, so I feel like I'm some sort of authority on this matter, and my reply is thus:
lol
One of the recently deleted threads was literally "How do I get better at the game without practicing"
PS. Maybe try starting a thread on reddit about the quickfix, you'll probably get the same response.

I still feel like the QF got a raw deal. It was allowed midseason, giving no one a chance to really play with it by the time finals came around, and was played (and constantly highlighted) on the single most statematey map serious comp TF2 has ever seen. The casters droned on about how the stalemate was the fault of the QF, and not a map renown for being a stalemate, and during the finals when teams are more defensive then ever.
Anyway downfrag me because I don't outright hate the gun.
