While Europe was shut down and everyone was freaking out about stickies, Week 6 of Highlander quietly happened. The stickies were still bugged at that point, and on a map like Ashville where it's fairly flat and there are good sightlines, they no doubt had significant effect in the games that were played.

A 4-1 win against Dunning-Kruger will give mTs the #1 rank spot for the time being, and they'll in all likelihood keep it until Week 9 rolls around. While the game was fantastically close, dK only managed to take one round. That gives mTs a fair bit of leniency in keeping their position, but mTs's next two opponents are far more likely to take a round or two than dK's are for them. They've still got a chance at going for an undefeated score, but facing .knd on Upward will be a scenario that mTs will remember from last season, roster changes or not.
While the scoreline for their game may leave something to be desired in the eyes of the uninformed, those who watched the game will see the inherent flaws with the KOTH scoring system, as multiple times dK brought the timer down to an easily winnable time only to be unable to seal the deal. Regardless of their records being shattered, they'll have an easy road to the playoffs from here on out, with a FFW this week and games against low Plat teams for the final two.

After a few unlucky matchups against dK and bote, it seemed like .knd would be the struggling team once playoffs rolled around. They seem to have recovered from that, patching up their roster from the loss of Nursey and dispatching .$$ in a 4-1 game. They'll be competing with dK in all likeliness for a second seed, but with dK already over five match points ahead, and with an easy lineup until the end of the season, it doesn't seem likely for .knd to be able to overtake them.

20b continue on, facing and dispatching eHarmony in a game that may have been a bit closer than expected. They're set to participate in playoffs, outside the $avages upsetting mTs on Lakeside. The ESEA playoffs will cause Ginyu the most pain, as they lose a significant amount of their players – Deadbolt, Paragon, Duwatna and ninjanick. They appear to be playing Glassworks regardless, which is always a good thing – the more high level games, the better. Nobody likes a FFW.

After having their asphalt handed to them by .knd, .$$'s playoff dreams are quickly draining, with their only hope lying in defeating mTs on Lakeside. A fifth place finish is by no means upsetting, though, especially as they've proven themselves able to contest the playoff teams in the past. They're one of the three teams who have yet to go through their Bye week, receiving it in the last week of the season. With games against Funkblasters and mTs still upcoming, they should be able to finish their season with a solid 5-4 record in the most likely scenario.

A 4-3 game against .buffalo will set their teeth on edge, but all but secure them a 6th place finish. A game against mTs this week will provide one last chance to pull a victory in an unexpected manner, but they'd need a fair bit of luck on top of mTs just not caring at all about how to play the map – unlikely at best.
Their ascent halted by ·aMw·, the would-be Gold team sit down in 7th, a far cry from their likely end spot if they had played in Gold. The second Upward week slowly creeps towards them, and with that, perhaps they'll finally meet up with mTs and play their first week's match. Sadly, .buffalo have no winnable battles ahead of them, outside potentially beating .$$ this week.

While Funkblasters find their spot unchanged, that may not be true next week, as they face eHarmony this week for the chance to actually win a game. While having this match on Glassworks instead of Steel or Upward is perhaps a downer, the matches are what they are. Outside of that, though, they've got a tough last two weeks, facing two playoff teams in dK and 20b as they slowly finish facing all their opponents.

eHarmony has their first chance to move up a spot, and will no doubt be starting with everyone in high gear. A game against Ginyu that had a few close moments will be uplifting, but if they don't turn this week into a win then they'll be the one team in Plat with no wins.

While originally slated to be a forfeit, Ginyu Hoops has decided to pull in subs and ringers to replace their players that will be gone for the ESEA playoffs – ninjanick, Deadbolt, Paragon and Duwatna, specifically. Who they bring in and on what classes is unknown to me at least, but recent roster additions in Rainy and Romantist perhaps indicate that Ginyu has a plan for who is playing what class. It's still a shame though, losing all of your power classes (max being the sole exception) on a week where you're playing a Highlander focused team on a Highlander test map. The game will definitely be close, but with a roster of subs or ringers, it'll be harder for Ginyu to pull out a win. 5-2 in favor of Kids Next Door.

While not as high profile as the previous match, this game still means something. In all likeliness, the team that loses this game will not have a win outside the bote FFW over the entire season, cementing them as the bottom team of Plat for this season. On an untested map like Glassworks, it'll be interesting to see what classes and players make the biggest impact, especially in comparison to the higher Plat teams.
5-3 in favor of Funkblasters.
Although a loss against A Million Ways may have stunted Buffalo's uprising, they'll have no qualms trying to face down the $ilver $avages. It'll be a difficult task if the connection the two teams have to ·aMw· means anything – Buffalo had a, while close, game against ·aMw· in which they lost, and $avages had little trouble dispatching ·aMw· on CP_Steel. 5-1 in favor of $ilver $avages.

As both teams slowly check off the boxes and finish up facing their remaining teams, they find each other on Glassworks. While mTs isn't the team known to care much for the quirks and details of Highlander, and will probably find the map a little alien, they're an incredibly dominant team regardless. While ·aMw· will probably know the map a fair bit better than mTs, and that'll probably lead to some close rounds if not a few rounds won for ·aMw·, it's hard to deny that mTs is just a powerhouse of a team and shouldn't have much trouble taking this. 5-1 in favor of Menace To Society.
