Not sure how it went but the comments on the last page sound like it went pretty well, so we'll see :D

I went to both the ones he hosted, they went really well other than technical difficulties and the fact it went until 1AM. I'd love to see another one.

b4nnyIt sucks that redemption is always a whole year away. One invite level LAN a year is not enough! I hope to help change this.
Obviously hes talking about a LAN not just for NA?
So it will probably be something else

He does say Invite-level, and NA hasn't had a major LAN in 2016 (and won't unless something changes).

We were chatting about a couple of ideas at i58, would be sick if their idea comes to fruition. Having two global LANs a year (one NA and one EU), even at the cost of all other cups throughout the year, would be great for tf2.

The ultimate humiliation would be getting all-eu-finals at an NA lan
I died a little when I watched i46

i think we do need to agree on maps/rulesets that every league uses. its kinda ridiculous as it affects teams whole playstyle

More LANs would be great for TF2 as a whole, however, we would need more people to step up and take it seriously. If not then it will just be some version of Froyo rolling others. A lot of pros have already moved on which means for TF2 to survive professionally more people have to put in the time and effort to make it to the "Invite" level.
Lets be honest here, how many teams without the name Ronin or Froyo have an actual chance at winning ESEA Invite (taking nothing away from any other invite team but I mean come on lets be realistic), more or less a LAN. I don't see a lot of teams from other countries spending the time and money to come to the USA if the competition is mediocre at best.

please ban coaches so other teams dont have to get another person (and split the already small prize even more)

there were 2 eu teams with the possibility of wining iseries, there has only even been 2 and usually only 1
I'm not exactly sure how this season will turn out but you're looking at 3 teams teams with the possibility of wining and then 2 teams that aren't that far off

SoCal is so much better than NorCal, Temperature is better, beaches are better and we have actual Mexican Food
On a side not, if there is a lan on the west coast i'd be really interested in going

West Coast LAN would be nice. There's already FLan for East Coast.

iSeries, Dreamhack and now my hopes are up for an NA LAN, going to have to start saving up a lot more.

If we're going to be having more international LANs then we're going to have to get either valve sponsored/invitational events or have more sponsors in TF2 because the community can't keep paying out of their pocket to send teams to LAN.

For an "invite level LAN" west coast is the worst option possible because so many people are east coast or Midwest.

MonkeySuitSo Cal isn't that great, it's Nor Cal that's awesome.
Most people would rather visit socal than northern cal, unless they're old people lol. i've visited both and enjoyed socal more, but I still liked northern a lot too.
on a side note, it only makes sense to host a top level LAN at a location in the middle of the country, possibly even between midwest and east coast.

NA LAN would be funny, because half the players wouldn't even be able to drink.
