don't take the bait ^
popcorpmanskirtWe have tried 7v7 before many times, we are not trying anything new at all sigafoo is doing is just wasting 2500 on a shitty tournament instead of something actually useful.
Define "something actually useful"
The thing he was going to do before he made it 7v7

Just a normal tourney with the same 8+ year old class lineup? Same old maps? Current whitelist? Its his fucking Money, he has full right what to do with them, You don't command people how to spend their own money. If you think its a waste, well don't play it and complain about it, nobody is forcing you to play it, he just wants to experiment and see how it goes like. Besides, if it was normal tournament, we would all know who would be in the finals, so no point making it a 12+ team tourney, just get top 4 invite teams and call it an invitational. 7v7 offers something a bit more unpredictable, where it's a bit harder to say who is going to win.
Also by saying "something actually useful" you're basically saying "Lets feed b4nny and co. with money", because as I said above, the finalists and winners of the normal tourney would be obvious as hell. So instead of just feeding 1 team with money, lets just see how it goes under other circumstances.
P.S: There could've been way more touneys, if people actually donated to Prizepools, instead of LAN Team fundraisers. Seriously like if you're planning on going to LAN as a team, just get a fucking job and save up, instead of praying that people will donate to you and your team.

Holy shit it's the same stupid double standard garbage again.

It's our fucking posts, we have full right what to type in them.

If you think it's not retarded, don't reply to the comment and don't complain about it, nobody is forcing you to read the comment, he just wants to point out how dumb a 7v7 tournament is.
Do you see how incredibly stupid this argument is and why you should never use it again?

This applies 100% to the current format as well.

Hey if we are going to do a different format than 6v6 it should be 5v5
theres no point doing an experiment if someone else has already done that experiment several times and concluded its shit
You can still run an experimental 6v6 tournament that would yield much more productive results. For example, I would have loved to see this as a 6v6 with global whitelist plus quick fix (which hasn't been tested in serious 6v6 games since it has been nerfed). The only way to get those kinds of things tested properly is by giving teams incentive to win. Whatever is "learned" about the 7v7 mess of rules that this tournament runs will be forgotten by Monday because no one will ever repeat this format again.
Featuring the event over at Ferocity Gaming

Why was 6 scared of 7? Because 7 ate 9.
It all makes sense now.

I prefer this to highlander just because teams have to think about their composition instead of using exactly one of every class, but it's obviously not a replacement for 6v6.
The twitch chat is even worse than the tournament

It is so annoying to figure out the picks and bans on weapons. This tournament really proved how nice whitelists are too have. Been fun though.

tbh I'll forgive this shit if they also give a system announcement for the FACEIT cup.
At this point I don't even understand the point of this, and I'm an lolhl Spy Main.
6s main benefit is being fast-paced and easy to watch on a spectator's end. HL's main benefit is being able to run all your classes simultaneously, but at the cost of pacing and watchability.
Like Prolander before it, this just seems to have looked at both formats and taken nothing good from either of them. You don't get 6s speed or HL's diversity, but you do get a lower player count and awful pacing.
If this becomes our main format, I'll sudoku live on stream.
