ESEA has been doing it for ages with counter-strike, if you're planning to make it strictly ESEA frags wouldn't it make sense to upload to that channel instead? They have a pretty big following already as opposed to starting fresh on a tftv channel which might never gain in popularity.

ESEA's channel mainly has a CS following that probably won't be very interested in TF2. Also ESEA may not be interested in such a video series.
Also if you guys need help sorting clips or that kind of thing, I'm always here!

I was thinking the same thing, but I figure plenty of CS players want to try TF2 but have no idea where to start. I also have some friends that don't play any FPS games but still like to watch ESEA casts of lan finals.

If that's the case then you should just drop esea tf2 as a league altogether. As long as the videos were produced with a decent standard of quality (meaning decap as the editor since he doesn't throw in bullshit effects) then I'm almost 100% sure that they would support it and upload it to the channel. Also I think the CS following would be more supportive than you think, a lot of them do hold interest in tf2, it's just that all they get exposed to is spy pub tutorials and such on youtube and assume all of tf2 is like that.

i think a great model for a weekly highlight reel would be the dota cinema top 10 plays of the week. By having a very standardized format which every week follows it ought to cut down on the work a whole hell of a lot. Also they dont do commentary, which works for dota and i think should work for tf2 just fine. If the content could be found then there would definitely be 5 plays worth showing per week.

Someone should organize people to go through demos and do stuff. CommFT/eXtv had a lot of trouble with that. I'm willing to help, but maybe we should set up a gmail for people to send their shit to
