I suggest you approach the subject as taking breaks from the game, and come back once you cooled down. Sometimes it's about building up heat until you stop, wait weeks/months and come back fresh. It's a never-ending cycle. You'll find speaking in terms of leaving is of little use.

Don't delete your items cuz you'll want them when you come back but at the very least take a break. If you're not enjoying it then there's no point.

why do you need to uninstall? i just never touch it, the urge rarely comes up, but if i want to jump or like. sell items or whatever, i'll just fire it up. do you still have a strong urge to play? or do you just need the disk space?
