I've been trying for years, i've been good at hanging on but now a days it's just seemingly impossible
i understand the frustration of futility. its hard to believe when you are: in the thick of it and feel like you've tried everything and don't have the energy anymore to keep pushing, but, it doesn't matter how hard you try if you're not trying the 'right things'..

Hanging out with friends helped, but i don't really have any friends anymore, just isolated all the time
Pretty much what Casual in #4 said. Try to change up your habits, do something that breaks your routine and lets you see outside of the hole. I recommend doing some sport (if your not already doing so) as a start so your body will produce some endorphines. That may clear up your view a little bit and give you some headspace to work with. Figure out a personal goal that you can look forward to and strife to (doesn't have to be big at the start, maybe its just walking around the block once a day for now), establish multiple different activities that keep you busy, express yourself. Just a few ideas.
Also, remember that its ok to be unhappy and that you CAN change that if you really want to, you have the power to do so! Not saying that its easy, especially if you have established a lot of unhealthy habits, but there is a way!

try to learn something you thought you'd never love. Learn it so well you're itching to come online every day to find more and more material to learn on that subject. Use that motivation to build projects you've never known you could. Finding this subject will land you into a position that benefits you and your future.

honestly i deal with the same shit, but killing myself seems more pointless than life. the concept that i'm even here is really mind boggling, so im just tryna have a good time while im here. hence why i spend thousands of hours playing video games because they ironically seem to have more of a point than life does
100% what Tino said. Find a psychologist, social worker, or counselor to talk to. They can definitely give you some strategies to get out of the kind of rut you're stuck in right now. Stay safe.

I have agoraphobia. I can't leave my house easily so doing other things is extremely difficult and so i am basically stuck like this. Ty for the advice guys but i prolly won't hold on longer

However, if you were to close your eyes for 5 minutes and think about the elements of a life that would make you happy, do you really think that all those elements are unobtainable for you? At the start of coronavirus I bumped into discord server 'The Lodge' through twitch streamer 'Kruffles'. It's full of very supportive people, they have a dedicated channel 'the lodge listens' where you are free to write about any issues and talk about it with others (no specialists). They also play games together and watch movies every sunday in discord. This server helped me quite a lot so I thought you guys might like it too.

Best to make the most of it then. There are a lot of hobbies you could start up, it's just a matter of getting what you need to your house. You should try cooking. There are a lot of grocery delivery services and there is no limit to techniques or dishes you can try to master.
