This week marks the first week of ozfortress playoffs for season 29. With the fifth division of High being introduced just last season between Intermediate and Premier, we have since seen a closely competitive show from teams in this division.

Going into the matches this week, psychology majors is in first place after being seeded 3rd in the preseason. The team consists primarily of AsiaFortress/PURE players, who despite the ping difference to Australian servers, have been able to put out an impressive display of talent. Team captain 2345y, has kept the team over several seasons, originally as open veterans, then as kush krew in season 28, placing 5th in High. The team have had to make a last minute roster swap though, with arandomdeaddude stepping in on Medic, as Jager is unavailable.

Taking on psychology majors in the Upper Page Playoffs game is Grogged. The two teams have already gone head to head in Round 2 of the season, with the match yielding a 4-0 result both times, trading maps between them. Team captain duck is a former teammate of rival captain 2345y’s, playing in open veterans for seasons 22 and 27.

Coming into playoffs week in third place is hungry i eat all day. The team has a history of playing together, many of them coming off a 3rd placement in High last season on the team cheesewheel. The Lower Page Playoffs match between 3rd and 4th seeds is a repeat of round 2 of matches, where the teams traded maps with a close scoreline.

Rounding off the High playoffs teams is the Xbox 360 Voice Chat. Some of their players are coming off a High win from last season in braincels202. The team has now managed to scrape their way barely into playoffs despite their 7th seed in the preseason.
