I live near Palm Coast in Florida. Its a short drive, and I am HUGE soup guy. I hate to brag, but I live near the Flagler Fish Company, and I can get a fat bowl of Lobster Bisque for the cheap (and its not cheap in taste, its INSANE, its fresh, it always seems to be made in the hour, maybe due to demand, idk).
But I love soup, never had a bad bowl ever. Please tell me your tales. I travel outside of Florida twice every year.

My favorite soup is French Onion Soup with melted cheese over the top.
It is really hard to find places that know how to make it correctly. The broth is the key and can be different wherever you go. Some can taste bitter while others are way too sweet. If the cook can find that spot right in the middle of bitter/sweet it is the best soup.

I've made from-scratch soup a few times (ramen, french onion, and chicken noodle, with homemade stock) and they were some of the best food experiences i've had. Worth the long time it takes to make imo
