Ultimately i decided that the match needs to be played.
This is an event that was created by the community, with a pretty hefty sum put forward by the community, and ran by the community. I am not RGL. In fact, I am probably one of the most vocally against tf2 authority on this site. That being said, for a tournament that should be doable in a single day, I am going to leave things like FFW ruling up to my own discretion. Not the discretion of the players. And considering we have an international grand finals with hundreds of dollars on the line, there is no way in hell that I let this be settled outside of mp_tournament 1.

btw, if anybody else is also considering running weekend tournaments, depending on interest feel free to DM me and ask if FiresideCasts would be interested in covering. worse comes to worst I can at least point you in the direction of other orgs/production that would be available. I had to step back from casting weeklies for the main season of RGL due to time constraints, but sometimes things pique my interest enough
