Just curious to know how, if it all, any of you change the way you're playing if you're not doing so well on a match night.
Do you try to force through it? Actively try to change up from your regular playstyle? Or do you just accept tonight may not be the night and relax?

being well rested and hydrated is the best way to ensure you play your best. i know when i have off nights usually its cause i didnt get enough sleep the night before

you guys are having on days?

i mean im sure u already know this but if ur having an 'off day' its usually in your head and if you go to the bathroom/get water and mentally reset usually u can play much better in the next half, but if you're thinking about how bad you're playing you'll just play worse

If you focus on improving your in-game decision making and build consistency in your mechanics, your off-days can only be so bad. Generally speaking better players have less variation in how well they play. So the first step to adapting to an off-day is before they happen, as you practise.
E: As far as adapting to playing poorly, there's only so much you should do - assuming you were playing correctly when you were "on", just because some decisions aren't working out doesn't necessarily mean you should stop doing them if it's the correct play a significant % of the time. Basically, don't start playing wrong/scared/bitch TF2 just because you're not hitting as many shots as you usually would / shook by the pace of the enemy team or something, this will only compound the issue.
Another thing to consider is, are you having an off-day but still winning as a team? Then you most likely don't have to change much if anything about the way you are playing that day. As some people have already mentioned 1/2 of an "off-day" is a mental issue anyway, if you let it roll off you for the next half/map/round you'll probably find yourself playing about as well as usual.

Change my sens usually.
Never helps. Well, maybe it does in the short term. Though half the time I´m playing badly cause i´ve changed my sens anyway.

outside the game:
most of the time Im having an off day its definitely because I didnt sleep well, am not hydrated, and just simply didnt stick to the routine i've setup for myself. however, if youre adhering and the aspects outside the game are on point but youre still having an off night, then its time to talk about mentally resetting yourself in game.
in game
if you have a bad start and you are able to mentally recollect yourself in the midst of a game, you'll be able to bounce back. dont think too much on whats already happened but rather use that ask urself what needs to change. there have been plenty of times where i started off mega negative and then completely turn it around to wipe or roll a team.
and remember to not over-practice or under-practice your DM, i feel like its really easy to go into games either super cold or super burnt and depending on how much you play it can either be for better or for worse. if youre struggling to understand what to do in some situations as well and just cant come to a resolve its time to bust out those demo reviews. lastly, also ask if your teammates can notice something not right with your gameplay, this can help alot with different perspectives into play.
but with that being said good luck

Because TFBots are always easy to beat, while real players on community servers always dominate me. :(

Take a break. This game is not worth it, and will never be in the foreseeable future. Getting mad and taking time from other things is just a waste of time if you're not having fun doing it.
If your not gonna mentally drain yourself just play extracurricular DM or something idk ur choice
