as for scream, i didnt win main and that was about a year or 2 ago when i got 3rd in s1. when i got restricted i had played on the same team as zab twice, we couldnt have been much more equal in terms of how things look on paper, i genuinely dont understand how the inconsistencys happening, and also i wont lie i got carried in s1 looool but i dont blame u for not knowing that cuz of how long ago it was. but thats another thing, me getting 3rd in main however many seasons ago isnt relevant anymore, which also just makes my restriction more unreasonable. class restrictions are being decided by how things look on paper, and because of that theres no middle ground when it comes to restricting me and zab. u either restrict both of us, or neither of us. but under my eyes, u restrict zab but dont restrict me.

Outside of NC dont class restrict people, and above open require rosters to have 3/6 of the same players as the previous season to move up. The league (should) have settled by now so IM/Adv/Main/Invite should not be open to whatever roster wants to play in it. Maybe allow only 2 "new" rosters that don't have any history in each div per season or something but require the rest of the rosters and players to have some agency and make the divs actually mean something. For as annoying as it was in ESEA the roster requirements really did make the divisions mean something and proving that you can play at that level mean something. The current RLG structure totally takes away any player agency and roster meaning. Rather than being a "team", it's just a name on a spreadsheet that can be dropped the second you meet the requirements.

We're talking a difference of 30% of teams sticking together versus 20%, at the end of the day that's still a failing grade. Considering ESEA IM needed to be saved practically every season - especially post-bitcoin scandal - no, it's always been this bad. Don't forget we straight up lost IM for two seasons because we didn't get enough teams.

Speaking of, we were previously told that if Invite got enough teams, they would be more lax with restrictions in Advanced. Reminder that so far in RGL's run we have had a six team Invite twice, and a seven (really six and a half) team Invite once, which is just pathetic. But now that we'd had three consecutive seasons running qualifiers, their stance hasn't changed, so I don't know what's up with that.

Is winning an RGL division even an achievement when all the top teams are knee-capped with class restrictions? I only want to compete against the best, not participate in a make-a-wish contest.

Midway through playoffs in season 29 (the season where we salvaged Alfa's team after roster locks), Alfa wanted to forfeit if we made grand finals because he was scared of possibly losing to scratch/juju. Thankfully he was convinced to play by me/bobby and that ended up being an amazing grand finals.

the solution to make moving up a division make more sense is to bring back d1 and d2 imo. Split advanced into two 8 team round robins again those were the best seasons imo, and you get better quality games since theres never been a point to matches between like top 4 and bottom adv teams anyways. Winning main and moving to d2 makes more sense than winning main and moving to adv as well.
