Call in CTU

But on a serious note, this is all pretty surreal. Kinda crazy (and scary) that there are people running around our major cities blowing up bombs and getting in shootouts in major cities :\

the scary thing is there might possibly be more than just the 2 of them waiting to make their move. it's a little surreal but at this point it's completely possible.

possible fake, but on the scanner i'm listening to someone said they saw someone in a black hoodie with a laptop. no idea why this guy would take his time to create a twitter account while on the run though

Make sure you get your updates from creditable source, cnn and fox are both pretty shitty when it comes to that.

CNN is your best bet right for speculation, just because they have someone close and live (+5 second delay) on the scene

Events like these, while very saddening and unfortunate, get blown out of proportion. You're much more likely to die in a traffic accident than in a shootout or bombing, and while some degree of caution is always good, it doesn't do anyone any good to live in fear of being shot or bombed. Despite what all the media coverage of shootings and stuff may suggest, violent crime has been decreasing for quite some time now. (e.g. "In the last decade (since 2000) the homicide rate declined to levels last seen in the mid-1960s" - http://bjs.gov/index.cfm?ty=pbdetail&iid=2221 )
Sorry if that's insensitive, I just feel like all the media attention on events like this distorts peoples' perspectives on the reality of violent crime and causes unnecessary fear.

Definitely not insensitive, you're 100% correct. The media almost glorifies these kinds of events. While it is a terrible thing, and we should definitely be aware of what happens we shouldnt let it impact our day to day lives, after all that's what these people want, they want you to be scared.

The worst part is that random innocent people are getting identified as suspects and vilified by "investigators" on social outlet sites like Reddit and 4chan who take it upon themselves to find the bombers.

According to the radio last night, there was a "Code Black" at one of the hospitals during the night. That could mean either a bomb threat, or a deceased person was admitted to the hospital.

Well, the officer did die and something like 13 others were hurt
