Is it too early to say Terrence Davis should be a frontrunner for MVP?
SpadesPretty scorching start to the MVP race. Top 3 right now is Luka, Giannis, and Tatum in some order.
Personally I think Giannis is poised to take it, they all put up similar stats but if Giannis is doing it in less MPG/more efficiently with the Bucks at a top seed (right now without their 2nd leading scorer too) it's deserved.
Any takes after ~15 games in?
TBH, if Luka keeps playing at his rate now for the rest of the season, and can take atleast a 3 MAYBE 4 seed I think he has the best chance to become MVP. Also wtf, the Nets let the Kings drop 153 on them? Were the Kings' janitors in the rotation scoring points too?

I Would Like To Take This Opportunity To Apologize To Lebron Raymone James Senior And The Los Angeles Lakers Before They Win This Season's Championship. Go Off King. I Will Never Show Such Disrespect Again.
bumping this thread to express my hatred of bradley beal and to congratulate jokic on his third consecutive mvp
Dallas gets: Kyrie Irving, Markieff Morris
Brooklyn gets: Spencer Dinwiddie, Dorian Finney-Smith, Unprotected 1st (2029), Two 2nds (2027, 2029)
Interesting move by Cubes..

i honestly hate our directionless front office and greedy owners (Fuck you Ted Leonsis) for offering brad a contract he would be an idiot to refuse, being mediocre in today's NBA just feels like purgatory rather than being committed to fully tanking it really sucks...... glad johnny davis is developing well though lol!
as for kyrie and luka that is crazy but i have a feeling the mavs aren't done yet ....

Not following the NBA all too much these days but isn't that a huge pricetag for a player with a questionable ego and 5 months left on his contract? I mean, if it works out, they improve ofc. But the risk...

why do people act like kyrie needs the ball all the time he just played with kd and lebron
as for the price I feel like mavs won this trade by a lot, dfs and dinwiddie are cool role players meanwhile kyrie is in the 15-20 range for best players in the NBA.
God, being a nets fan is prison. I wasn't a believer when we actually had kyrie but I could at least cope by saying we have 2 champion players who may somehow at least get us a deep playoff run. Now that kyrie is gone we have even less star power which means ben simmons is likely going to look even worse making 38 mil a year putting up 4 shots a game. Aint no way kd staying on this team after this year. nets back to being a poverty franchise

they have a couple months to figure stuff out, but if they don't give him the max, there's nothing stopping him from just leaving when he's a free agent
LeBron passes kareem on the all time scoring list what a moment, happy I was a witness after all these years
mmrarkte God, being a nets fan is prison.
Cam Thomas is the greatest NBA player ever, it will be ok (youngest player ever to have 3 40+ pt games in a row sheeeesh)

hubida - Cool Cids club 10/12/2021 12:05 AM EDT Well GG █████████████████████████████████████████ have fun █████████
bro nets don't have 5 of their future picks and we just traded kd wtf. upside is mikal bridges, cam johnson and jae crowder are actually all good players so there's some hope that we can do something with the four firsts + trade some of the wing players to get a star.
suns obviously win the trade but lowkey worried for them. they just traded all of their best defenders and wing depth. their bench is ass too and they just made it way worse by trading everything. i feel like there's no way this team can win with how awful their defense is. if suns got away with trading ayton instead of bridges they would be a complete super team
anyway i'm still praying on cp3's downfall

mac mcclung just set the civil rights movement back 20 years
1/2/2023 - Donovan Mitchell puts up a statline of 71/8/11 on 22/34 shooting (7/15 3pt, 20/25 FT) in an OT win vs Chicago
Damian Lillard responds:
1/25/2023 - 60/7/8/3stl on 21/29 shooting (9/15 3pt, 9/10 FT) W vs Utah, highest scoring game since Mitchell's 71
Tonight - 22/38 shooting (13/22 3pt, 14/14 FT) with 6 reb/ast to go with his own 71 points.
Admittedly it was on a ton of shots and he was just flat out embarrassing a completely putrid team ('22-'23 Rockets). Still impressive, and it shows we'll see Kobe's 81 be broken sooner than we think, somehow, some way.

71 in 39 min on 80% TS is absolutely insane no matter who you are going up against tbh
also De'Aaron Fox is so good

he was surprised he got drug tested after dropping 71

Absolutely, especially when a handful of those 3s were over 30ft out. Any other team would've started to put real pressure on the man is my point, let someone else beat you too not just him.
I caught the Clippers/Kings game the other night thinking I'd catch the final 2 mins and then go to bed. After 2 OTs I was glad I did.
