how would you describe the jump? work, tf2, other videogames. doesnt matter. I'd just like to hear about your experiences
Im also planning 1080p -> 1440p. I am a troglodyte so making changes are tough, especially since I feel so damn comfortable and familiar with 24". I mostly just wanna go to 1440p but I feel like 1440p on 24" is a waste, hence me considering a larger size. (Ive always had little desk space all my life as well)
on that note, if you've ever used 1440p on a 24" monitor how was it? again, use case doesn't matter. I do a wide variety of things on my desktop and videogames isn't even in the top 3

Personally I greatly prefer 24" to 27" for gaming, and 1440p 24" wouldn't be a waste at all imo. 1440p just makes things feel sharper, but you don't need a massive monitor to enjoy it like how people describe 4k. Past gaming 27" is better tho imo. I would rather read, work or watch something on 27 everytime in comparison to 24.
Brimstone1440 27" > anything smaller for every application
Strong agree, also made the switch to 1440p 27" recently and its been fantastic for litteraly everything (games, video and photography editing, watching high quality content, litterally whatever)
Also it'll take you 3 days at most to adapt dw

I've got 27" 1080p monitor. Personally I prefer bigger screen for playing and chilling
1440p 27" -> I can also confirm that this is awesome for everything
If you get a 4k monitor get bigger than 27 inch tho lol windows sucks ass and the buttons in half the applications (mumble) are tiny and don't scale right no matter what magnification settings tweaks and stuff you do

yea that makes it more usable but it still has certain ui bits that are fucked up and overlap, theres some other apps that just straight up suck even with this ticked but idr which off hand

bigger screens are generally nicer to use unless you're using a laptop and it gets to the point where it's to big and unmanageable to take anywhere
I know this is going to sound like "just buy all of them and you won't have to choose lol", but if you can afford it, get both a large 4K 60-120Hz monitor with excellent colour performance and whatever size 1080p/1440p monitor you prefer to game on with excellent motion clarity. Then you can use the 4k monitor as your desktop and to play single player on, and the 1080p/1440p monitor to play FPS games on and as a second monitor. Having two monitors, or even three depending on what you're doing, is such a boon.
personally anything over 7 inches im really gonna struggle
damn bro 3 inches of growth is crazy how many months you been jelqing?
i have a 27" 1440p and a 24" 1080p. ive also used a 30" 1440p and a 32" 1440p for work
imo 24" is ideal for gaming, but 27" has been completely fine as well. 1440p is preferable in every single game ive played, and if u want to minmax ur csgo screen space then ur probably ready to change your game resolution
this might have changed in the past few years, but at least for my monitors the 27" can only support 144hz over DisplayPort, which is why i use it as my main monitor for games anyway
outside of gaming, 27" is an immense upgrade, even if youre not doing higher density tasks. the 30" was also really nice, but i cant recommend going bigger than that on 1440p unless you want to do coding on a single monitor or something
from what ive seen of 4k/5k monitors i would recommend at least a 30" screen
