So ive been basically a apple kind of guy until i got into pc gaming. Just was wondering if you guys know good computer details so i can get myself a good gaming pc. I really have a lot of problems with mac and its kind a big issue. Im looking for something affordable thats around 600$ or a little more. Only game i actually play is Tf2, and i would like to live stream and do a bunch of cool stuff that im unable to do on mac. So most information you give me will be used . I was just thinking about buying one thats already built.

You can livestream on a mac. You can play TF2 on a mac. You can install some custom huds and hitsounds on a mac. Just putting that out there.

If you want a good gaming pc that can run TF2 and be able to stream at the same time you might have to go above $600.

EDIT: What the fuck was I even saying.

i5s/i7s are pretty important for decent quality TF2 streams. The AMD processors are fairly cheaper but not as good for streaming from what I've heard.

EDIT: Also get Windows 7. I don't think Windows 8 is as good but someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Let me be more specific, I would like to play tf2 with 200+ frames use some specific crosshairs that arent usable on mac because of the font which someone converted for me and it still looked really bad. Live stream without downloading a whole bunch of stuff, and i do not want to run windows on mac, to much of a hassle. Would like to use IRC without me having to install it every time i open it, and fyi i do have a custom hit sound, I never hear it in a lobby/pug/scrim. Dont ask me why because i dont know

Ok, excluding the streaming. What would you recommend me if i wanted to play 200+fps.

if you're just looking to stream TF2, it shouldn't be too bad in price. get the i5 3570, not only read but understand overclocking and raise it up to a minimum of 3.8 ghz. no need for a SSD unless you're willing to put out a bit more money. RAM is relatively cheap, get 8gb. I don't know much about GPUs but I believe ATI is cheaper and plenty for TF2. Don't skimp out on a power supply. you don't need a crazy 1000w one, just make sure to read reviews.

also http://www.pcpartpicker.com check out some of the builds people have made and made public, but don't blindly follow them... they could be as clueless as you currently are, get opinions on what you find from knowledgeable people.

edit: i put 3750

I'm pretty sure the AMD cards have potential to get 240+ fps if you use dx9 frames. But 132+ is fine if you don't have a 120 hz monitor.

You can do almost everything you want without getting a new computer. I have a macbook pro running windows 7 via bootcamp. It runs windows like any pc does, I'm only limited by my hardware. Before you get a new pc, I would try installing windows via bootcamp.

I think, based on me trying to do the same recently and buy as cheap a pc (that I can stream and play on) as possible, you're looking at around $700-$800 for that.

Pistola i do not want to run windows on mac, to much of a hassle.

It's ridiculously easy. Just buy yourself a copy of Windows 7 (or whatever OS you prefer) as crespi suggested and install it via bootcamp. Bootcamp comes with your Mac and is super intuitive and walks you through the whole process.

If for some reason that's still hard enough to warrant buying an entirely new computer then I would suggest building your own. Judging from my previous experiences with you I doubt you're going to be that willing to do any of this yourself though, so I'm pretty sure any good advice you receive will be useless.

Thats a reason why im held back from running windows only because i have to get a copy of windows. Anyway if i do run windows would i have to install everything all over? or how would that work?

Theyre a lot of videos showing how to build a pc, so that would be quite easy, and when i post threads of me needing help, i do everything to find an answer on google which sometimes fails, and i come here.

Windows 8 is faster than Windows 7, and has a different start menu. There's no reason not to get it.

I have heard a lot of great things about the 8350 being a better streaming processor than the i5 3570k. The 8 cores really helps it out a lot more. Plus, it will definitely get you above 200fps. I went to my friends house and he has an 8350. Without any configs i checked the counter at max settings and it was over 200. So I suggest the 8350 with a decently cheap motherboard and a good cpu heatsink and fan so you can overclock. The gpu can be shitty for all intents and purposes. You'll be fine with a 650 or 650ti (or 7770 if you want to go amd) } my suggestion.

You can't really get a cheap motherboard if you intend to overclock an AMD processor. You need a decent board because the processors use a lot of power.

Geknaiiri5s/i7s are pretty important for decent quality TF2 streams. The AMD processors are fairly cheaper but not as good for streaming from what I've heard.

As far as I'm aware this isn't true at all. The AMD 8350 is an 8 core CPU the price of an i5 and clocked at around 4GHz if I remember correctly. You can literally assign 4 cores to your streaming program and 4 to TF2, or however you want to do it, I mean its 8 goddamn cores and goes pretty toe-to-toe with the i5s. I would say the 8350 is a perfect streaming CPU.

I own an i5 3570k and I still get noticeable frame drops when streaming, its hardly a "perfect" streaming CPU.
