Finally decided stop being lazy and switch from default to a custom hud. I was just wondering if anyone knew of any huds that were somewhat similar to default yet still displayed your last damage delt and the exact health of enemies once they kill you. Or is there a way to enable those two things on the default hud? Sorry for the noobyness thanks in advance.

iirc it's not updated anymore, although I recall very recently someone updating it on FPSBanana (it's in beta though). Anyways PVHud is quite close:

PVHUD is probably the closest you can get to keeping with the original style while still being minimal and providing the last damage done and exact health of enemies that kill you that's still being updated. I didn't think FrankenHUD was updated anymore, but after poking around the steam group page it looks like it has been updated recently, so you could probably give that one a try as well.

I'd recommend this; I used it a lot before I switched to Rayshud and I'd still use it as a backup if necessary. It's a lot like the vanilla HUD's aesthetic, but much more competitive minded and has options that can really help your game (centered Ubercharge bar, some color options, last damage done).
