I have adblock disabled for tf.tv because I want enigma to be rolling in it but the banner to turn off adblock still appears in the top ad slot on pages. The ads on the side work fine so it isn't adblock being funny (I think). The banner is actually pretty awesome but I would prefer nigs to make it rain hundred dollah bills. Is it only me or is it a site problem?
Do you have it disabled only on the main page (teamfortress.tv) or all pages (teamfortress.tv/*) ?
edit: oh, nevermind. Just read your post a bit more closely. What enigma said.

if you have it disabled teamfortress.tv it should be disabled for all of them
Adchoices are displayed on top of the 'support tf.tv' banner, if AdChoices fails to load the user will see the support tf.tv banner instead.
first off, thanks!
if this is only happens occasionally, then it's expected behavior because google can't fill 100% of all ad requests

Adblock sucks. http://img543.imageshack.us/img543/7627/adsye.jpg
Holy shit, I didn't realize most people use adblock
^^Turned off Adblock on Youtube for you, in addition to TFTV and Twitch which I already had.
I'd turn off Adblock, but I don't like ads that take up the whole screen, and I feel kinda unsafe with it off.

What would be really handy would be if you could click on the "support tf.tv" add banner and it would take you to a guide on how to unblock sites you want to support. I know oodles of people have literally no idea how to actually use the program lol.
wait you can turn adblock off on certain sites? so you mean I can support youtube,tf.tv and twitch and dont have 5000 download things at shady sites? Why am I learning this now ;_;
i thought tf2 nerds of all people would be able to figure that out

Thanks! As enigma said as well, google can't always fill ad spaces so the difference doesn't mean they're all adblock users, and I think YouTube can't advertise in some small countires.. But I don't believe that's the majority. ;)

Yes you can, but you can also just block the most disturbing / shady sites. And have all the rest open.

I generally have no problem with turning off adblock on sites I want to support. But just disabling Adblock Plus on tf.tv isn't gonna cut it, I had to disable Ghostery too (Doubleclick, Adsense and Mediaplex). These scripts/services probably don't just serve ads, they track you. I don't like that which is why I use Ghostery in the first place :/
CondescendingCandlestickI just turned off adblock for tftv
same here.
same here.
I've had adblock disabled on tf.tv for the longest time. I had no idea that ghostery also blocked the ads for you. I guess I was just used to seeing "turn off adblock" that it never occurred to me that it shouldn't be showing.
