+ for eulogy, with my experience with him he fixes or at least addresses issues. Sure he get up about it but I'd rather have a strict admin then a lax one.

I've already said a few things about tf2.mix in a past thread, but I'll restate what I said before. I know a lot of people want to say that admins need to start banning more often, and I don't disagree, but do you really think that those people are doing the same thing when they are playing with or against us admins? They aren't for the most part. We really need more people to step up and send a PM with the statistics and what happened and whom was doing what. No one is ever going to know it was you that said something, so don't worry about giving us the information. I get 10 PM's if there is a problem with the bot, but no one really says anything if someone is being an ass. :)

Just give an admin a heads up.

The big problems with tf2mix is the captains have no idea who their picking so either team almost always roll 5-0. Or the people scramble till they play with their friends then go and play tf2lobby.

I've never pinged above 110 to any Dallas server even when watching streams and I ping 90 to ESEA Dallas, but I ping 140 to those servers, and from what I remember, when I left cl_interp as 0, it defaulted to 25ms instead of 15.2ms.

What if I don't enjoy playing with carries all the time? I wanna pick people I enjoy playing with who are good, but if a carry is just annoying, I don't want to pick them, and people shouldn't feel obligated to.

I think it would be nice to just split tf2mix into two IRCs. One with the captains and the other with the normal gametype. That would also give freedom to update the bot similar to pug.na. I know people could just go to pug.na but suffer frequent fatkidding.

I'm from Canada as well, and I ping better to the tf2mix servers than I do to Dallas ESEA servers. The servers don't seem to crash ever, and they don't seem to stutter ever.

In all likelihood, you just have bad routing to the servers for whatever reason. Maybe some networking guru can correct me if this is wrong, but I think the further physical distance you have to cover, the more chances there are for something to go wrong with the routing, and you are from west coast Canada (according to your steam profile).

The point of captaining is to commit to creating the most balanced teams you can. I don't mean this rudely, but if that's not what you're trying to do when captaining, you probably shouldn't be captaining.

If you want to play with your friends, that's fine, you can still pick them. However, if they aren't a "carry", you shouldn't be making them one of your first picks, because you are imbalancing the teams, and your friend should still be there after the first round of picks anyways. I've seen so many captains lately outright ignore 2-3 potential first picks, and they all end up on the same team.

Hey cinq, if you're looking for more admins then I'd be happy to help out. I pug in tf2mix and tf2.pug.na fairly often, (I've played over 100 games in each.) and I really want to aid in improving the quality of the pugs. (As a sidenote, I probably won't be pugging again until August as I'm on vacation in California right now.)

#tf2mix is going downhill nuff said. We need more admins.

The last two mixes I played I'm sure would've had the exact same outcomes (0-5 roll and 5-0 roll) just based on some dramatic team stacking. Accidental or not, I have no clue.

I don't know why this is SUDDENLY news. You get horror show pockets that can't call, but expect all the heals, you get a scout that wants to chill at last to get kills instead of capping the point or securing second. I stopped doing them all together because it's always a fucking joke.
Frankly, it's a shit storm because most the people get selfish with things. If you want to big dick, go play a lobby, it'll work, unless you have the tiniest little dick the world has ever seen.
Captaining is tough since it's better to HAVE mixes than wait for a good captain that knows people. I mean, let's consider it's EVERYTHING below high-open. That's a lot of fucking people to know.
