So I've decided to start up a server that has a strong focus on competitive TF2. Now, this doesn't mean 6v6, but it does mean no random crits, or damage spread. Here's a little more information

- MGE Training (When admins are in server, and requested)

* Personal ran server, quick admin help
* No ads
* No donation requests
* Competitive environment
* Good map rotation, no silly maps
* Class Limits (2 Sniper & Spy/team)
* No random crits
* No damage spread
Future changes:
* Class limiting [Fixed]

When I said competitive, I was not aiming it towards map specifically, just the type of atmosphere I hope to attract. A place where its not just a bunch of people sitting in spawn.
The Turbine maps is the only really big competitive scene map I added, of course I'm up for suggestions and I would love to get some Gully or Viaduct if we have enough people wanting to play it seriously.

Process and gullywash actually run really well on pubs. Especially Process. Can't say the same for badlands however.

Gullywash gets really bad with more than 16 players IMO. Not a map suited well for pubbing.

Upward I've never really been a huge fan of, so for now it will remain off unless it generates interest. But I did add Process and Snakewater for now :)

from what i've seen, warmfront plays out really nicely in pubs, especially if we could use warmerfront

I really enjoy playing Viaduct, but not as a 12v12 or so player based game. I feel like it looses its competitiveness since its so small. Perhaps it will, but maybe only when I'm hosting 6v6's or HL. We shall see.

Why goldrush but no dustbowl? Basically the same map. What I'm really saying is get rid of goldrush.

I was running Dustbowl and had a few people requesting to switch it out with Goldrush, which people view generally as more balanced.

I'm curious as to what exactly is different about goldrush that makes it better than dustbowl. Besides the format change (CP vs PL), the map layout is nearly identical, and that map layout is a 3-stage linear spamfest.

If you want ANYONE from tf.tv to join the map cant be goldrush/frontier/gorge. Take those out of rotation pls.

It's more of a pub server geared towards attracting a higher standard of TF2, then your average pubs
