Hi guys/girls. For the past week I've been having some pain in my stomach. Whenever i go to eat food i start to feel sick to my stomach or i eat maybe 1/4 or 1/2 of the food and just feel too full to eat the rest.
Additional notes:
-I started school last week, maybe my sleep schedule hasn't settled in yet and feel sick to eat food?
-I haven't eaten breakfast lately because of me waking up late.
-The only way i can "cure" my sickness temporarily is to drink ginger ale
I was wondering if anybody here has past experience with stomach pains and would be willing to give me a few pointers in how they cured it. Thanks.

See a doctor? They can probably tell you what the issue is if it continues

Why do you think posting on a videogame forum for medical issues is a good idea? Your health is very important man.

Ok a few questions.
Do you have pain in your chest?
Do you have burning in your throat?
Do you vomit?
Have you tried eating crackers?
Do all carbonated beverages settle your stomach?
Are you under an unusual amount of stress?
Have you had any recent changes in diet?
Have you recently travelled to any northern climate (alaska, Russia, etc)
Have you recently eaten any fish or pork products from outside the US recently?
Do you notice any strange material in your stool?
Does your stomach feel hard to to the touch?
Does it hurt to apply pressure to your stomach?
Do you have a fever?
Are the lymphnodes in your neck swollen?
If you drink alcohol do you find that you have *extreme* stomach upset?
There answer those and I'll test it out
- I did a medical practicum in Nicaragua.
The most likely candidates are:
Stress induced stomach upset
Parasites
Stomach infection (if you're also having loose stools)

dude my grandmas a nurse and she said if any kind of stomach pain lasts for more than 3 days then you should definitely go to a doctor because it rules out food poisoning and it can mean something more serious like a parasite or an infection as marxist pointed out above.

Well funny story.
In undergrad, because I had a kid, I needed unique living accommodations, but being a college student, made all the poorer by being responsible for an additional human's life, I needed cheap accommodations.
I ended up moving into a very large house that'd been converted into several smallish apartments. Most of the folks who lived there were Middle Eastern or South Asian med students. I became pretty enamored with one of the aforementioned med students, and our university offered a medical practicum wherein you would pay a small fee, and be sent to Nicaragua to float up and down the rivers of that country in canoes and provide free medical care. So, figuring that'd be the best possible way to really impress a girl I liked (who was going on the trip of course), despite being a history major who spoke hardly any Spanish, I signed up and was accepted. I did dentistry (they advised me that that was the easiest thing to do), but occasionally I got to help out with other stuff - and of course while we were floating around people would always talk about what they'd done. I learned a lot, and I ended up dating a pretty interesting girl for a time, and when I came home after a month abroad my son was bilingual lol.

Something similar happened to me. No other symptoms, just seemingly random, crippling stomach pains. Lost my morning appetite.
My physician said to stop eating/drinking soda, caffeine (energy drinks/coffee), and chocolate (and alcohol if you do that). That helped a bit, but I still had some problems and ended up needing surgery after a couple months of persistent pain. I'd say go to a doctor soon. Stomach pains that last over a few days are a sign that something could be seriously wrong.
Best of luck, man.

Keep around some actual ginger too, good by itself or in tea.

GO TO A DOCTOR.
Are you serious we play video games, we aren't doctors. There could be a badbad underlying issue or it could be nothing at all that can be solved with a bit of ginger in your tea, but a bunch of TF2 nerds aren't the people who can diagnose it.
This thread should be locked because it sets a dangerous precedent.

People tend not to go to the doctor in the US unless they're old, rich, or in serious pain because of its expense - people generally ask their friends and other associates before going to the doctor given the expense of care (particularly young people). While I'd view any advice provided herein with suspicion, it makes sense.
