Seems cheaper than the blackwidow ultimate.
Everything is cheaper than the blackwidow ultimate.
On topic, its so rare to see a mechanical board without something made by cherry I'd be highly suspicious of the quality. For 60$ it might be worth it, but I think the CM storm isn't too much more.
Edit: Apparently ALP switches are okay, never used them personally to say anymore though.

It's $50, uses ALPs keys (which are similar to Cherry MX Browns), and isn't tenkeyless.
I was holding out for a Noppoo Choc Mini but I might get this for its price.

tenkeyless isnt really a problem for me though, because I don't use the numpad
but give it a try and tell me how it is!

I don't use the numpad either, I just love small keyboards.

ALPs switches are just as good as Cherry MX. Blackwidow keyboards are not good.

Blackwidow keyboards are overpriced, not necessarily bad. While there are better alternatives, it's still a fully functional mechanical keyboard, the legacy drivers are actually quite nice.

What I didn't like about the blackwidow keyboard is the wierd angle of the spacebar. What the hell is that? I started using my index finger for spacebar because of that.
Agree with topre/buckling springs as the best keyswitch.

it's cheap though, the right control key on mine won't reattach and the 7 on the keypad is broken. so glad i got this for 20 dollars so i don't feel bad about buying another keyboard.

Go use one for a year, watch the keycaps degrade to the point that the backlighting shines through the entire keycap, effectively eliminating the ability to read the lettering, and then tell me they're not bad. They have a host of problems that any $100+ mechanical keyboard should not have. The spacebar is just weird, too.
I will agree that ALPs, Topres, and buckling springs are better, but that's just opinion really.

I've been using one for about that long, not one of the backlit ones. The only visual difference is that the text on the wasd/ctrl keys is faded, and I actually like the position of the spacebar. I'm guessing I got lucky though, I've read plenty of complaints about keys not fitting and getting stuck on each other.

I used this keyboard before I got the CM Quickfire Rapid, for around $40 on sale. It was a really nice keyboard. The rubber WASD is kinda gimmicky, but doesn't make much of a difference. I love'd they way the keys felt. Super clicky and very loud (that might be a con for some people). The only problem I had with it, is that it didn't work at all with either OSX or linux. I emailed Azio and they replied saying they were working on a driver, but I don't think anything has come out yet.
It's an awesome keyboard for an awesome price, I would recommend it.

Barely anyone uses alps, and there aren't many keycaps for em

I agree, razer uses its "gamer" brand name to make kids overpay for a backlit keyboard with barely any customization and average build quality.
They don't even have cherry mx reds

Razer does some things really well and other things really badly. Looks A+, the usb cable A+. Actual mechanical keys... eh, their mouses are pretty flimsy.

My friend used this keyboard for a couple of months with no problems. But, when he first got it out of the box, he had to clean a few of the keys because some problem caused them not to be registered on the screen. Other than that, he found it amazing and totally worth the price.
