Is there anyway to get rid of the medic beam? I know it's an odd question but does anyone know if there is a solid way of getting rid of it?
do you want to keep your model for the medi gun? if not you can do viewmodel_fov 0 on console.
You have to use viewmodel_fov 0 with your Medi Gun, that's all it takes.
Should have been more specific I want to get rid of the effect with using the medigun so when I play soldier or any class I don't see it.

you should replace the medigun's beam particles with something else, which i dont think is possible now, i'd like to do the same bc my pc is shit and i get a huge fps drop whenever im looking at the medibeam

i have dxlevel 81 and theres a bug where it removes the medigun beam but not the viewmodel.
i use highframes and my particle doesnt appear for some reason :/
jake_desi use highframes and my particle doesnt appear for some reason :/
You have the display marker that appears above the person you are healing on, which for some reason glitches in dx8 and makes the beam disappear
