Does it really matter? You know what maps are going to be played, and you know in what order. If you do not like ESEA there are always UGC, CEVO, IGL, and others. You complaining about something that doesn't even matter isn't going to do anything.

You guys realize ESEA is coordinating their schedules around:

- 2 continents
- 3 games.
- 13 divisions.
- 543 teams.
- 2,807 players + backups
- Holidays

All so that they can host a LAN with EU/NA teams and finish each divisions playoffs at almost the exact same time, so that they can do it all again about a month later, right?

agree, I realize it's a lot. That's why it'd be easier if the league figured out what works best first (like season start dates) then enforced it strictly to facilitate a smooth season, rather than their choice of setting tentative dates then having to extend and change logistics later on, trying to find something that works and ending up messing with everyone's schedules. when administering any kind of event, it's always easiest for the host to determine logistics and then to tell everyone participating

when you have a party do you tell everyone a date and time, then some people complain and change their minds, so you follow by changing the date and time again? then again?

people not paying registration fees is not something that should take an extra three weeks. if esea had a policy of "pay or you're not playing" rather then "oh man people still haven't paid, better extend the entire season by 2 weeks. damn they still haven't paid? better extend it again" they would find themselves in much more control and everything would run more ideally

You can't have static start dates when everything else about the league is dynamic. If the party you're throwing is funded by the attendees, then yes, you accommodate them without rescheduling indefinitely.

the only reason why people take their time paying is because everyone expects registration to be extended, since that's what happens every single season. all it takes is one season where they actually close registration when they say so (a month of offseason is more than enough to pay) and yeah sure, each division would be smaller but then every season afterwards would be much smoother and run how it should be
