Anyone know why this happens? I am guessing because melee is a slightly delayed hitscan but it still seems bizarre.

Just tested it on a pub server and if you die close to an enemy player while having a person whipping you the enemy player will get damaged when he's standing where you died 8)

You cannot spectate the cart and hurt people though, strangely enough. You must be spectating a person.

I just tested that and I could kill people while spectating the cart.

It seems kinda random though since sometimes it just doesn't want to work

Man, it sucks that this one set of servers nearby which allowed you to spectate opponents in 3rd person has disabled that feature two weeks ago.

I haven't been able to get it to work outside of spawn even once, which makes me wonder how it worked in that one viaduct video. Also, spectating the cart while meleeing from the grave doesn't seem to work at all, at least for me. What class+weapon were you using?

If I was able to get it to work outside of spawn, I would ideally suicide in a choke as heavy with the holiday punch out.

Ok, so I was wondering if anyone else has encountered this at all:
Sometimes I'll be pubbing around with friends or whatnot, and I'll encounter a play who is the wrong color. While the obvious assumption is "That's a Spy you fucking moron", I have encountered at least 2 examples (with other witnesses) vouching for my sanity.
My friend was playing pyro on my team (BLU) yet his model was Red. I knew it was him, and nobody else saw him as Red, but obviously it really threw me off seeing an "enemy" player in the middle of my team.
Second example: I saw a Soldier on my team being healed by an enemy medic. Assuming it was a Spy, I shot him, but was surprised to watch him pop Buff Banner and kill me with a Rocket. So unless Spies suddenly got a new weapon set and can attack without losing their disguise, I'm a little confused.

Anyone else encounter anything like that?

I killed 2 people doing the whip thing after someone I was whipping died.
It was hysterical.

I feel really bad I watched someone's stream and did the glitch with him. He thought it was his hud and when I typed that he was cheating he got upset and left the server :(

I believe this happens when a server hasn't been restarted or changed maps in a long time, props and stuff don't clip properly

Anyone remember the quickfix glitch that Ggglygy found? Haha, that was absolutely great in pubs.

Remember when the red tape recorder first came out? If you sapped a sentry with it and then hit it off, it got more hp.

That was patched a long time ago though :(

You could get 7000 HP sentries though with enough work, it was hilariously horrible.

On the red team, I have seen a blue sniper build a red sentry gun at A on cp_gravelpit.
