We have been in MULTIPLE leagues before. IIRC, 3 at a time at one point, and ESEA wasn't even the main league for us then.

ESEA will keep fuckin everyone over unless more people start taking a stance like Pure.

ETF2L at one point had 90% of the Premiership teams boycott the league because of unlocks and believe me they got that decision reversed really fast. And ETF2L is a community run league not a professional organization making a profit from people playing.

And we ended up playing the match without our roamer because his tf2 crashed everytime he joined a server with the client running, even though he played fine last thursday...

esea is a business who happens to run a tf2 league because it makes them a bit of money on the side

these are very, very different scenarios

I wouldn't mind giving cevo a shot. It seems like the have things set out pretty nicely. The problem is, myself and many others only have time to play in one league. No one really wants to make the switch because there is no developed player base.

I wish I had thought about this more before the close of CEVO registration. The new CEVO admins seem really dedicated to providing a quality product, and while their client isn't perfect by any means, it's not the disgusting resource-hogging lump of steaming shit that the ESEA client is. While I like/respect Killing/Kalkin, they clearly have no real pull within ESEA which makes it very difficult to get any changes made.

If I could go back and change things, I'd probably have tried to get a team together for both CEVO and ESEA for this season, then next season make a decision on which one I wanted to focus on. That may still be ESEA for a couple more seasons, but the gap is definitely narrowing IMO. The complete lack of attention given to our (admittedly small) community by ESEA, to the point where matches are basically unplayable, is frustrating enough that I'm certainly open to suggestions.

That's a lot of words but it made me feel good to type them.

3. That service is shit or it has proved flawed several times

I dont understand your reasoning. Besides, there is always CEVO, pretty sure if ESEA did drop tf2 CEVO or another league would step in with a similar model.

Kaneco the thing is the likely scenario is ESEA going "oh guess TF2 doesn't have a super loyal community anymore, let's scrap that and focus on CS"

The thing is ESEA gets way, way more revenue from CS than from TF2. If we boycott them, they'll probably just drop us. It's pretty obvious from the last week or two that we're just an afterthought to upper management. Boycotts would just make it worse.

Besides, as much as people talk about CEVO no one seems in a hurry to register on there. You have to have more than a handful of people joining to make it a decent alternative and right now that's not happening.

If Torbull says these kinds of decisions are "up to the admins," then boycotting the actual league itself is going down the wrong path.

i'm still scratching my head on this one, so ultimately the tf2 admins had the final say, and it wasn't torbulls decision. so they had the choice to help watch this out and they just didn't (??????) cool

even though for countless seasons now there is always extended registration, and invite matches have been pushed back for more than week(s) <----thats right) at a time due to holidays, client issues, server issues, tf2 updates etc pretty much anything that would prevent a team from being able to play and for whatever reason this one was just out of there hands? makes sense

so these guys still haven't said a word in this thread, haven't gave any explanation what so ever. this is pretty much the start of whats to be a boring, repeat of the past few seasons. top 2 teams, and then just the rest of invite. why even bother being an admin for tf2 in esea if you're just going to bend the rules whenever you feel like it? obviously the lack of interest for tf2 ultimately leads to other things...you can just quit all together or become a douche bag for esea

its like last season, all these changes to current unlocks and as well as new ones weren't banned on the spot till the season was over so they can be reviewed by everyone, they were allowed for whatever reason, but every other season prior to that they would be banned on the spot
