Since ESEA limited Engineer to one, what are the chances of the Gunslinger being unbanned?

If I recall correctly, it was banned after dual Gunslingers proved to be a very formidable defense, almost as strong as dual Heavies. Could be wrong.

From what I understand, they effectively make scouts useless and are spammable. Gives +25 health. Putting them anywhere makes an aimbot pistol that takes ~4 shots to kill and costs 100 metal. You can put up 2 without running to get any metal. If you shoot the engineer, you die to mini, if you shoot the mini you die to engineer.
Its just unfun.

I wouldn't say that a single mini completely shuts down scouts and flanks. Moreso that it adds some protection against them at the cost of picking power and speed and survivability.

Especially when it's only one Engineer. Are single Gunslingers really that bad? Didn't seem so before it was banned. If there was two... yeah, complete shut down. That is why it was banned, right?

Don't take me wrong here, I'm mostly asking for a reason but I'd also like to see part-time Gunslinger use again, as that adds Teleporters and Dispensers to the matches too.

Honestly, before people figured out how to abuse dual Gunslingers, a single Gunslinger didn't seem so bad.

Is the main reason it's banned really because it annoys Scouts so much? I don't really understand any other reason because it's only one Engy that were talking about here.

I can understand this, but it can be destroyed relatively easy and isn't nearly as good at denying jumpers as, say, a regular Sentry or Heavy.

they could easily balance the gunslinger by making mini sentries not spawn with full health, let a lone regen while building (takes two shots for a scout to kill it normally, 3 if it's still in the progress of building)

it's quite apparent that valve doesn't give a fuck when it comes to balance and engi unlocks though

This so much. Whenever I see a minisentry and I'm playing scout, I get the fuck out as there is nothing I can do about it.

isnt gunslinger run pretty much full time on non attack defend maps in HL? I think it needs a nerf before being considered as it's pretty much an upgrade to the other wrenches.

So, let me see if I understand this.

The Gunslinger was banned for balance issues when Engineers ran it in pairs, but is now going to continue to be banned because Scouts find it annoying even when Engineer is limited to one?

Considering how tolerable it was before dual GSes, I find it hard to understand why the reason for banning went from balancce to annoyance.
