Anyone else not able to sign up for the MGE Ladder due to profile linking??
I uploaded a short announcement vid urging everyone to sign up when they can. Will be live in 5-10 minutes at http://youtu.be/Fl7Jqb51KIQ
I feel we ought to be pushing everyone in TF2 to sign up for a ladder! Am I totally out of touch on this, or is that the way to go?

Touching on the subject that is mentioned about kritz in Ultiduo: kritz is banned and will stay banned.

Hey guys, I was the one who happened to sign up early and that's why my name is on the front page (lol).
Anyways, I've been getting messages and adds from other GB/MLG players from CoD or whatever to 1v1 and some of them really do seem interested in the concept of TF2 competitive.
The problem is most of them have only 100-odd hours of the game, they don't know much about competitive TF2, and I think they're all just going to jump into this MLG TF2 league and do horribly against real TF2 players without any advice or guidance into the competitive community.
I don't really think we have anything that could help transition completely new players to competitive. I know we have Newbie Mixes but even that is for players that have been familiar with the game for at least a few hundred hours. What do you guys think we should do?

Well, if they've played any sort of competitive before, they can play 2nd scout in Newbie Mixes.

I think having a even more newbie section in the Newbie Mixes could be a solution, but also it would be cool if it could be written somewhere on the MLG website that there are Newbie Mixes and stuff like that to help them familiarize with the game, because TF2 has such a long learning curve.

MLG isn't actually hosting the servers, they require you to host, so they aren't really public.

Are there any plans about streaming the matches? If so it is my dream to be an mge caster.
Hosting a showmatch under MLG would be great promotion
Just to be clear on how this works -- there's this ladder and it ranks teams and so you can challenge any team on the ladder and if they accept then you duke it out on a private server and then you report the scores to MLG?
So this is pretty unofficial/casual then right? Cause there's no anti-cheat/admin team/oversight committee? What about the small stuff like who's server do we use etc?
