Calgary forecast: chance of heavy snow in the morning, melted by noon, frozen by midnight. Likely gonna be a dozen and a half accidents on the Deerfoot, expect your commute to be upwards of an hour, and the Tim Horton's lineup to be twice that long.
Recommended method for coping: have a beer and watch the cops drag race.
Thankfully, here in Salmon Arm, freezing rain is rare. Our only real problem is not being able to remain below freezing for very long, leading to nasty slushy gravelly roads...

Winnipeg will be more than happy to take that ice off of your hands.
We sold out of ice salt at Canadian Tire today. We never sell out of ice salt.
Just took me 9 hours to make a 5 hour trip home from school.
Some idiot hit my bus :(

Snowed in Vancouver on Friday, it's pretty much melted now. Never had anything near as bad as you guys have it. I kinda enjoy the cold though, so i'll take like 1/4 of that ice off you. :)
been without power for 2 days now, luckily my uncles house hasn't been affected.
i've been staring at a wall for 48 hours now.

Luckily I wasn't hit by any power outages (my area actually one of the few lucky areas barely hit by the power outage)
Lost power for like 11 hours yesterday. It turns out Monopoly is a pretty fun game
Well, we still have power, but not for long I fear. The roads have gotten ridiculously slushy, and it's only a matter of time before someone wipes out a power line...
