i'm about to board a plane that goes for 10 hours and I need things to do to pass the time :)
so I ask what you guys do on a plane or long trips?

Listen to podcasts, listen to music and/or read, play a game like pokemon or monster hunter, watch movies/tv/animu. I'm sure I could think of, that's just off the top of my head.
If you're going westbound, sleep as much as you can to avoid getting whacked by Jet Lag.
Download some movies or TV shows to watch. I suggest dl'ing a ton of music if you wanna just chill. Good luck!
I always go for the window seat, the views are nice.
music + sleep = enough to keep you busy for at least 50% of the plane ride
also books are always a good idea. catch up on some reading if you have something on your backlog.

yeah, only problem is that my laptop can only last an hour a half, so I usually resort to reading on my phone or sleep.
i can never sleep on a plane.. if i do i feel sick/have a headache when i wake-up. On long flights, i usually try and watch some of the movies they have on the back of the seat tv's. that's a pretty good way to kill time. or just listen to some music/podcasts.
sleep and/or listen to music to block out the crying baby sounds
Load some audiobooks on your phone, and get a u-neck pillow thing. Window seats might have a nice view, but aisle is better since you inevitably will have to use the bathroom and nothing blows more than trying to squeeze past some sleeping fukrs next to you with a full bladder. Also you can stroll around if you get very bored.
Before you go check if there are charging ports on your seat. Depending on the airline there might be.

Haha I sit with my mum and brother so I always get window seat, and thank god I'm not waking up randoms :')

Play 3DS or watch a movie. Sometimes I'll intentionally get very little sleep, just so I can sleep on a ~three hour flight and make it seem like it wasn't long at all.
BOOKS BOOKS BOOKS AND MORE BOOKS, Also what dbw said. AUDIOBOOKS.
Check out Radiolab. It's an awesome podcast, you can get them all for free from itunes, and every single one will blow your mind.

Literally one of the best sites I've ever found, I used to live overseas and this was great when we were flying back and forth

i would read books rather than watch movies. in my opinion, books have a greater entertainment value than movies.
xanax and aristotle. perfect recipe to sleep through the entire flight.
There are seats with outlets, when I went back to China last summer I brought my laptop with games and I played Costume Quest in steam offline mode the whole flight there and System Shock on the way back. Or download a bunch of movies or something.
xanax or 2 Dramamine are always really good to relax or make you sleep.
Reading a book, tablet/computer play, or listening to music to pass the time.
get an aisle seat so you get up freely when you please. A lot of people argue the window seat is better, which in some cases it can be, but being able to get up and piss or stretch your legs without having to ask 2 people next to you to get up is nice.
ask flight attendant for pillow and blanket because they have plenty!
edit: For those who get nauseous or dizzy, don't forget to eat! Having a full stomach prior to takeoff is optimal!

Also, make sure to get up every once in a while and walk up or down the aisle so your legs don't get cramped up. I had this problem on a trip to Vietnam. Whole trip was 21 hours with two connecting flights. So, about 10.5 hours sitting does not feel good, especially when you're in the economy class with that GRAND CANYON LEG ROOM. /sarcasm
if youre not flying blackout drunk ur flying the wrong way

That mousepad is so loud. Everyone must hate you for the constant scratching sound.

get a window seat, stay up before, bring pillow, take a mild sleeping pill, sleep the entire way.
that's what I did for the ~13 hour flight to/from i46. I only woke up for the meals they brought and went back to sleep.
