How is this a question, Polar Bears are 1000 lbs and 7 feet tall. Gorillas are 300 lbs and 5 feet tall. Polar Bears have claws, teeth, and are predators. Gorillas have opposable thumbs, hands for feet, and are mostly scavenging omnivores. Polar Bears would 20-6 the Gorillas at the worst.
Gorillas would be smarter, no? I doubt they would be smart enough to devise some cunning gameplan to tackle the Polar Bear, but it is a thought. I don't know a whole lot about Polar Bears and their speed, but my sense is the gorilla would be much faster.

First off, when that gorilla gets hit with a swipe of those claw's he is going to be in a world of hurt. Secondly, polar bears are not slow and will have probably 600-900 pounds advantage.

Gorillas may be smarter than polar bears when it comes to putting the square in the square hole, but polar bears are more of a natural predator than the gorilla and would have better instincts so in a fight the average polar bear would be "smarter"
