Open should be where new talent is made to shine, not old invite players taking the spotlight from new players who put in so many hours to get where they are today. Meat market and others who put in so much time and effort just get denied by these idiots "having fun".

I'd rather see seanbud and lange go 0-16 in invite than playing their mains in open and stopping real teams from moving up. And how the fuck does sick kids have to do with anything. I have a lot of respect for toth (the event) and donated a fair sum last year. That doesn't mean that they have a free pass to shit on new players in open.

ron i understand where you are coming from - but we've been over this in several threads already. We wanted to play main, and went as far as trying to find a main roster to hijack. That was the only way we could have played in main...and since we couldn't find a roster, we HAD to start in open per ESEA's rules. I think budsquad originally wanted IM (you can correct me if i'm wrong) but faced the same issues we did above.

Teams like meat market, flash sharks, and lonely hearts did more than enough to earn the respect of the community this season. They all played extremely well and split matches with us and bud. Just because they didn't make it to the final means they deserve any less credit. I expect to see them all in main next season, and probably in the playoffs.

Speaking of season 11, our game vs you on gpit was probably one of the most fun ESEA games I've played. That's saying a lot, because it's hard to have fun with cranberry shouting at everyone non-stop.
