Yo, the mic on my headset has recently broke and the earphone noisy audio thingies are also close to meeting its end. It's a razer kraken pro, say what you want about razer, but I liked how comfortable it was. That being said, its pretty much broken, and I'm looking for a new headset. Does anyone have any suggestions for a headset at a similar (60€/80$) price point?
Get this: http://www.amazon.com/Panasonic-RP-HTF600-S-Stereo-Over-ear-Headphones/dp/B004MMEI8W
And this: http://www.amazon.com/Neewer-3-5mm-Hands-Computer-Microphone/dp/B005DJOIHE
Ziptie the microphone to the headphones, and you've got a $36 gaming headset that will sound better than a $100 "gaming" branded headset.

I highly recommend you get a pair of headphones and a cheap desktop mic instead. Much more bang for your buck.
For gaming, I'd recommend the ATH-AD700's--economical, top notch sound placement with a wide soundstage, detailed highs and mids.

I wouldn't go so far as to call them "economical" the price/performance in terms of sound quality is not the best, but they are king for the low-mid market for wide, defined soundstage.

Picked up some AKG K550's recently on a ridiculous sale, they're very good although I do need a mic still.

I'm loving my JVC HARX700. Just a few days ago got my ModMic for it. It's been exponentially better than my old Gamecom 780.
I have the Audio-Techinca ATH-M50s. I also use them for guitar, and I love them for both applications.

Im lucky and happy I got my ATH-AD700s for $90 when I did. They're amazingly comfortable.
I've heard great things about these: http://www.amazon.com/Sony-MDR7506-Professional-Diaphragm-Headphone/dp/B000AJIF4E/ref=sr_1_4?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1393287239&sr=1-4&keywords=sony+headphones
You could always go with a modmic (love mine) or the zalman clip-on. My friend got this recently and it sounds pretty good: http://www.amazon.com/Samson-Meteor-Studio-Microphone-Cardioid/dp/B004MF39YS/ref=sr_1_87?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1393287449&sr=1-87&keywords=desk+mic

I have ath-m50's and they are amazing, no complaints at all, excellent highs and lows and solid mids.
Pretty expensive though, 100% worth it.

I'm poor, so I bought ATH-M45's last week for $50. Anyone know if they're too awful to compare to ATH-M50's?
For the love of all that is holy, don't get any of those cheap mics. I used the Zalman clip-on for awhile and it was garbage.
Antlion Modmics are absolutely fantastic and the only headset-mountable mic I can really recommend.
