Nice burn, I will give you that.

I don't see how you expected anyone to talk to some random person about their own court case.
FzeroIt's exactly the same with ESEA. ESEA admins are on this site and will sometimes answer questions relating to the league. When it comes down to an anti-cheat, routing, ddos, etc, you would be submitting a ticket or making an ESEA thread.

let's see how long it takes for a response.

Is ESEA dead yet? Can someone give me a TL:DR of this whole thing? I don't feel like sifting through 24 pages of shit.
thrasherNow before I get yelled at for suggesting this, my team won IM... We are supposed to play in main this season. This plan would effect us.
ESEA needs to take emergency action. kill the main division, shift all the main teams down to IM, and all the IM teams to open. Have a season to keep things afloat. If cevo fails this season, everyone will flood back to ESEA.
the divisions would accurately represent people's skill levels again

I've stopped reading this 9/10 pages ago because no matter what anyone at a higher level says, he will just get shut down. Also why the fuck do people ask for the opinion of higher level players if they don't want to hear them? This isn't even about the game itself anymore, it just about some self-righteous pricks who have nothing better to do with their time...
that's why there's no point to get involved in this community, it's just dumb

mwell i just got news that cevo client has literally no ability to detect organner so have fun with that guys
At least it shares that with the esea client.

im still blown away we asked ugc level players for what weapons they thought would be a good idea to ban
freakinthrasherNow before I get yelled at for suggesting this, my team won IM... We are supposed to play in main this season. This plan would effect us.this. I don't know why the first step would be to completely drop tf2 when they could save money by dropping divisions. It's not ideal but even if they had to get rid of main AND IM, they should. It used to be only invite and open, and at least we would still have lan.

I'd be completely okay with just Open and Invite, I'd give up Main for it.

make a few tweaks
find a lan for for invite/(main too) finals

or we just play in cevo open on our mains and name it budsquad
what happens when finals get fucked up by ddos? like, for example, 1 player on a team gets obviously and blatantly ddosed, will there be a reschedule or will that team be forced to scramble for a backup? what happens if 4 of their players get ddosed?
It's called the shit-show that was the open finals the past 2 seasons. LAN has always been the definitive showdown for the top teams, it will really suck to not see that happen. Can you have a high level finals without LAN - yes. Will it be as exciting to watch or participate in...no. Add on the fact that the trolls will be out in even higher levels than an open/im level finals then god only knows how it will go down. We we're upset enough the first time we attempted finals and the server got ddos'ed 3 times...i could only imagine what it would be like for a large prize pool and finals match to determine the best team in NA.
I'm not trying to defend what ESEA did by any means. If lpkane would have just manned up and admitted what he KNOWS he willingly did, he could have at least semi-redeemed himself. Instead, we child like behavior in responses, 10 year bans, and worst of all him not admitting they wronged their player base. On the other side, we have guys like killing and kalkin (and now tri), who honestly did their best to take care of and provide us with the best service they could. It sucks they get completely shit on because of the actions of others. They were running our service, and we're doing a good job. ESEA dying is probably the worst thing that could happen right now to anyone still passionate about TF2 being competitive.
I just have this really bad feeling that midway through the CEVO season, it's going to start to fall apart and everyone will have a collective "oh shit" moment. I honestly hope i'm wrong...wish you all the best of luck.

It's a pretty good read TBH. Id say chances of death are high, patient does not look good. A post in here from Torbull guaranteeing a TF2 season in some format would likely save the patient. Does Torbull or ESEA care??

Everyone should MSG killing on steam and ask him to consider a plan that seems to be coming together.
-extend registration
-close the main division, shift main teams to IM, and IM to open
-close IM if nesecary
-maintain TF2 this way for one season and if cevo fails reopen IM/MAIN when everyone comes back
Please +frag if you support this idea, and MSG killing on steam with it.

ok seagull didnt post this but i think he brings up good points and its relevant so im gonna post it for him so sorry if u read this in class b money and dont agree with it
Personally, here's why I'll support ESEA>CEVO forever:
Let's take a look at my stats from the online ZOWIE invitational finals:
http://sizzlingstats.com/stats/116296
http://sizzlingstats.com/stats/116262
http://sizzlingstats.com/stats/116229
http://sizzlingstats.com/stats/116194
Let's take a look at my stats from the LAN ESEA finals:
http://play.esea.net/index.php?s=stats&d=match&id=3553273
http://play.esea.net/index.php?s=stats&d=match&id=3553298

http://play.esea.net/index.php?s=stats&d=match&id=3553331
http://play.esea.net/index.php?s=stats&d=match&id=3553470
What was the main difference? In the month between the ZOWIE and ESEA LAN, did I just improve a lot, or figure out a huge weakness in iT? Nope.
Online I play with 60hz and 60-80 ms vs players who run 144hz+5ms. On LAN everyone is equal.
How am I supposed to take online competition seriously? This is something that matters a lot to me and a lot of other invite players who play on shitty setups or have bad routing/ping.
I'm not interested in trying my heart out for an online competition where I'm at an automatic disadvantage. I'll be playing in CEVO this season, but I will probably never play seriously on a top team ever again for online competition.

If you were going to play esea please pay your fees, you will get a refund if there is no season it is the best chance we have to not die.
randoIf you were going to play esea please pay your fees, you will get a refund if there is no season it is the best chance we have to not die.
I don't think anyone wants to pay right now for a few reasons
- unsure if the season will happen
- main and/or IM might have to close and if you pay a fee for those, then get moved down a division you have to pay ANOTHER fee. If the season does happen you may not get a refund for the first fee because they only promised refunds if the season doesn't happen
- refunds could take a long time to get
If registration extends ill pay up

this game has been around for a while now, i remember my third season was in IM after playing open for 2 seasons. playing against guys like blackstar, paladin, ruwin, pyyyour wasn't easy at all since they have been around for a while. but i liked the challenge as did the rest of our team. a lot of other people complained wondering why those guys weren't playing invite etc etc, that's been happening for a while now so its no surprise
my point is this, i seriously doubt new players are gonna take any joy in getting destroyed by numerous teams that are way beyond the skill gap of cevo open. and if you think it's only gonna last for 1 season you're in for quite a surprise. it's gonna be like that for a LOOOOOOOOOOOOONG time if cevo sticks around. esea finally started up a main division but i guess thats irrelevant now, yeah its gonna be a rude awakening and all the new players are gonna have to swallow their pride when they get shit stomped in and out each season by new or existing open teams in cevo.
i'll see how long it lasts before even more threads about sandbagging in cevo pop up, when in reality its not sandbagging its automatic placement of new teams because you aren't automatically placed in a higher division, so you're gonna have to deal with the 5-0's or not play at all

i got the impression that they were starting out with two divisions for now, and would adjust as the number of teams changed. i could be completely wrong, so please let me know

obviously thats a goal for people that are gonna play for a while, but rest assured i think emotion will cloud the judgement of new players/teams...a lot of people often get discouraged when they get rolled. i know thats not the case for everyone, but i believe its going to effect a pretty large majority of new comers
