It was a dumb thing to say and do but everyone needs to get over it and stop characterizing people off one situation. Ruwin, in a community and environment that is full of impatience and arrogance you have almost always been a positive influence in TF2. Forum drama blows over so don't let it get to you. I hope you can take a page out of Tyrone's book and shrug it off, we need more friendly and patient people in this game.

the "shit that women babble about" isn't generally to a live audience of 300+ people. also the pic that he showed on stream was really easily traced back to that chick's facebook profile. there's nothing to defend there.

e: ruwin showing off and insulting that "chick from high school" was not okay, but the people bashing him for being "washed up" aren't in the right either. whatever the case, the best thing ruwin could have done was be a grown man and just apologize for treating his video game stream as a platform to insult a third party with a link that you can easily trace directly to her public facebook account in at least two different ways. ruwin could have waited a few days to cool down and for the drama to pass over. but nah, he spent 20 minutes soapboxing and turning the whole situation into something about him for some reason, then said "I quit, I'm out." he couldn't have handled this worse.
e2: as a side note, i really enjoyed ruwin's stream. but he made a really stupid decision by showing that girl's picture on stream and insulting her in front of 300 internet strangers, and now that he's in the hot seat, he's handling the whole situation extremely poorly. if he does cool down and start streaming again, i personally won't be watching him, but i can respect the fact that he was an entertaining guy, and likely will still be entertaining should be return to streaming.

I'm going to have to agree with this - i caught the stream a couple of times, but it almost felt like he was trying to be the TF2 version of Sodapoppin (plz god no). The whole creating your own too cool terms like "baby back bitch" and constantly saying that and yoloswag were extremely annoying to me. In the midst of all the bs, you could tell there was some genuine feeling in regards to helping his viewers in game, but i think he was just trying too hard to be popular to the twitch crowd. I dunno, i don't recall him talking or acting anything like that when we played together. He seemed to be genuinely focused on the game and a lot more relaxed. I'm sure the stream persona was mostly an act...but even putting an act on for certain people will eventually get tiresome...maybe that's just what happened with him.

ruwin was really helpful when I asked him to mentor me and he really is a very nice guy, at least in my experience. The people who got offended by fat comments probably say the same exact shit all the time but for some reason want to crucify ruwin. He's an entertainer and I enjoyed watching him and if you don't like him just don't watch the damn stream.
