Hey just a quick mouse question, I was curious whether any of you use the acceleration feature on the Logitech g400 driver software

Thanks, I know mouse accel is rarely used, just wanted to make sure as I noticed this was already selected when I installed the driver.
Besides unchecking that horrible button, make sure to check "enable raw input" in the tf2 options and also disable any mouse acceleration you might find there.

it's using the default accel curve with windows. If you like that, go right ahead.
If you like more customization use the QL mouse filter driver or tf2's m_customaccel 3.
By the way is there any reason in particular not to use the highest polling rate?
not really. it doesn't matter just makes the movement feel a bit more fast even though you shouldn't technically see the difference (a matter of milliseconds that you cannot perceive) or so i'm told.
In addition to disabling mouse accel in tf2 and the logitech gaming software, you should turn off "enhance pointer precision" in your mouse options in the control panel, that is if you use windows.
I played with this option on for a while and when I did turn it off, it made aiming easier and provided a noticeable change.

some mice are reported to have issues when set to 1000hz. i also figured that some (older) motherboards don't support (or work badly with) 1000hz (and 500hz).
of course there's a technical difference between 500 and 1000, but i doubt anyone could feel a difference. i use 1000 because it's my mouse's default, but i wouldn't have bothered to change the rate to 1000, had the default been 500.
