Looking for mouse similar to G500

Hey tftv,

My Logitech G500 is starting to die (threaded cords OP) and I'm looking to get on the market for a similar mouse, one that I can use without getting used to a new type of grip or something.

I use 1100 dpi if it matters.

You could buy mine if you want. Hated the feel, and I was able to remake a working G5 from failed parts.

Does it work fine?

Followup question, how much?

g500 has sensor in the front of the mouse which makes it feels weird as fuck so if you want the same gay ass feeling then buy another g500. the sensor position is different (centered) in the g400. the shape of the mouse/grip is pretty similar tho. cheers m8

G400s
Just make sure to use the native dpi (800/3600 iirc).

Yeah don't get another mouse with the sensor in the front. I made the mistake of using the G500 for years and now any other normal mouse throws me off big time. Don't make the same mistake I did, get out while you still can!

i was using the g500 before and yikes, it was bad.

The abyssus is ~30$ (USD) and it's an excellent claw grip mouse.

I guess it really depends on where you live, US or Canada? Yeah, it's in perfect condition. Only used it for about an hour.

Same here, why would I have to use the native DPI?

i'd recommend the G400 as well, since i'm sure the shape is very close to the shape of the G500.
and i'd always stick to native dpi steps. non-native dpi steps are interpolated (calculated) and will, theoretically, never turn out as accurate as native dpi steps.
G400S has some smoothing, which is why i consider G400 to be better.

if you decide to get a G400, make sure it has a serial number (S/N) or a PID above LZ13333.
you can tell by looking at the stickers at the sides/back of the box.
these stickers have no text on them, which indicates that the mouse is from the old batch of G400 mice (which have prediction). you want to see "Logitech" on the stickers because those mice do not have prediction.

i actually saw those old-batch G400 mice offered on ebay only a few months ago, so i'd make sure you're not ordering one of them.
but, lastly; you might not notice, or even care about, smoothing. if you could find out if you mind smoothing or not, it could save you some trouble (G400 mice are getting pretty rare.)
